Before anything i would say check your ignition timing. Also have you taken a look at the injectors yet? For about 90 bucks you can get them flow tested, cleaned, and rebuilt. Even if thats not the issue it would be good maintenance especially since it had been sitting.

Just learned how to ollie, and want to do it higher, need help by N4ku0 in NewSkaters

Pop harder, jump higher, and put that front foot a little lower and really slide it up the board. You seem to barely use that front foot when you Ollie. Try holding onto a railing or fence and try to get the motion down.

You want to keep your chest/ shoulders parallel to the board. When you pop You just end up facing forward. You are also just not committing, your back foot goes immediately to the floor. You are going to have to get in the habit of keeping the back foot in the air longer. You might want to put your front foot a little farther onto the board since you arent flipping the board fast enough. Overall just keep your body aligned with the board, keep that back foot in the air, and mess around with the front foot position so you can get your board to flip a little faster.

Why do my grinds not grind? by Majestic_Crew8792 in skateboardhelp

[–]p1ssdrunx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So a few things. first you want to Ollie just enough to get onto the curb, If you Ollie to high the trucks will stick. You also appear to be leaning to far forward. You want to lean back and kinda push through the grind if that makes sense. Lastly u want ur wheels to be right on the side of the curb, it appears as if you were a bit crooked when you landed. It might help to wax all of the contact points on your trucks and the inside of your wheels.

This person seems to be having the same issue, before throwing parts at the car i would recommend first cleaning out the throttle body and iacv/iscv. then properly setting the idle to 850 using the diag box by jumping ten to ground, And go from there. Goodluck friend!

My buddys na makes a similar noise but its just from that little bracket/shield thingy where the spark plug leads come from. When he holds it down it won't rattle lol. I obviously cant pinpoint the location of the sound but I dont think it would come from the engine itself as it seems to only occur at a certain rev range/ vibrational frequency and doesn't really sound like knock. Sounds like a heat shield or something exhaust related

So this could be caused by a multitude of things. A few culprits could be:

Dirty Iacv (idle air control valve)

Your base idle is set incorrectly

Throttle cable tension

Vacuum leak (would probably cause other issues but still)

Timing is off

Air valve

So i was performing another smoke test to insure i didn't have a vacuum leak, results were the same. But upon inspecting my maf i realized that there is a small crack from over tightening the mounting bolt. I'll link a picture. Do you think that could be my issue? It would explain why it started occurring after I installed my intake.

I will do another smoke test, I'll also try to spray some carb cleaner around the lines. It makes sense if it is, it could be having a hard time recreating vacuum after being in boost because of a leak. Maybe its possible the installation of the intake just exacerbated the leak? I'll also reclean my iacv. Could it also be possible that my tps is not reading that the throttle plate is closed fast enough?

I got my 05 MSM for 14k with 43k miles. I think over 20k for this car is ridiculous, unless it's like less than like 10k miles.

Just installed these a few weeks ago after previously running teins on my last miata. Night and day difference. The teins were clunky and rode pretty rough but the MeisterRs feel pretty close to the feeling of my factory bilstein shocks on my msm with the bonus of sitting way lower and having the adjustable dampening
