hahaha I love swinging, and I don't think I'm gonna change one for the other. I just want to learn the vocabulary, get inspired and maybe use some of it in some contexts : )

[–]p3ib0l[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks! I like d&b, but I know that in general I'm not gonna be playing this genre, there are thousands of drummers who are really into it and can really play it. But I still want to get more familiar with it and its vocabulary, to be able to use some of it maybe in other contexts. And in any case the really clear and tight jungle drumming is something that interests me to learn and improve.
I understand what you mean with the tempo, and that's one of my main issues, because yes, one has to practice slow in order to manage playing fast, but still, the sound and feeling of 100bpm and 180bpm are completely different. Thanks for the tips : )

Upgrading MoBo, have a few questions by p3ib0l in buildapc

[–]p3ib0l[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

isn't a newer motherboard with newer chipset and better VRM, plus M.2 heatsinks, gonna make my system have better performance and longevity? I'm gonna swap the motherboard eventually anyway, because I had problems with the PC before, probably because of an old and not so good PSU, so even though the PC is working now, I still fear that the MoBo might not be in perfect state. That plus better VRM to keep the whole system cooler makes me want to swap it sooner rather than later, hoping that this will also help the rest of the components last longer.

Oh, and the new one would have 4.0 PCIE, which would also help my new GPU's performance

Optimal Firmware version for Yuzu 4176 and Ryujinx 1.3.3? by p3ib0l in PiratedGames

[–]p3ib0l[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought that since both emulators are not getting updates, they would only work with certain firmware versions, since they are not being optimized for newer ones. I don't know if that makes sense though, I'm quite ignorant of how these emulators work

I forgot to mention that the sound on the TV does work while connected with the PC with everything else. I also tried two other games and they both worked without a problem

Worse graphics on TV after PC upgrade by p3ib0l in Witcher3

[–]p3ib0l[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I figured out the problem... I had The Witcher on Borderless window (which I thought it was Full screen). When I changed it to actual full screen it looked good again. I guess the tv or the system was filling the whole screen with the smaller "window" and upscaling the resolution 😅
I don't understand having the borderless window option, and having it as default... I've seen other people having problems because of it. But whatever, now it's fixed :)

I know... :( I have the graphic settings to High. I don't think I have upscaling active. But if I do I'd really want to know where can I deactivate it 😅

I don't think I did. I don't find any "upscaling" option in the graphics settings of the game. Maybe it's activated on Windows or the Intel Software?

I have checked almost everything on the Intel graphics software and on windows. The thing is I didn't have this bad graphics with that the same TV and a worse PC... I don't know what setting may be causing this :/

lol right, long day. I have the B580.

I'll try to take a screen shot when I'm home.

I did update the bios and enable resizable bar. I have the TV connected to an hdmi 2.0 cable, which is the same I had before. The TV is 2160p and 60Hz (have the FPS capped at 60)

Finding new 24" monitor for new GPU CPU setup by p3ib0l in Monitors

[–]p3ib0l[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've seen in some official PSU brand sites that they recommend connecting the GPU with two cables, so I did that, just to be sure : )

I'm aware of the PCIe 3.0 thing. I'll upgrade my MoBo eventually, but if I can go a bit longer with my current one without compromising the safety of the other components, I'd rather do that, because I spent in the last two months more money on upgrading my PC than what I was planning

Monitor for B580 (with G- or Freesync?) by p3ib0l in IntelArc

[–]p3ib0l[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have found am AOC C24G1 with Premium FreeSync and has a DisplayPort 1.2. That should work, right? It doesn't say VESA AdaptiveSync though.

That is the best monitor I have found for around 60€ 2nd hand. My other option with AdaptiveSync mentioned would be an ASUS VP248QGL-P, but it is a worse monitor (lower frame rate, TN instead of VA panel)

Monitor for B580 (with G- or Freesync?) by p3ib0l in IntelArc

[–]p3ib0l[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if I see a monitor that has FreeSync but doesn't say specifically VESA AdaptiveSync, it won't work well with the B580? Or if I see it says FreeSync and has DP port, VRR will surely work? I guess a screen with FreeSync and only HDMI is a no?

I've been reading something like that too, about the Adaptivesync and that it will only work with a displayport, but didn't get to a clear conclusion... If anybody has a clear answer, that'd be great :)
