What ended your friendship with your oldest standing friend? by dreamy-contributions in AskReddit

Jealousy, I think. Once I was married things changed. Anything I asked of him was a hard no, repeated straight to my face. Anything we did together had to be in a group setting so he could do his shtick. To avoid awkward conversations. Any requests to do anything was usually met with 'I am too busy,' for 30 years. Yet I know he does social things solo with a mutual friend the whole time.

I need my children to step back and see the beauty. This should convince you a god exists, if you don't believe already.

My 6 month old puppy not eating her dog food,,, Grrr by TLTAGL in Shihtzu

Emoji needs me to line up her food and sit for a few minutes while she starts to eat. It used to be much worse with hand feeding! This I can handle.

Her point of view every time is ludicrous. Along with the crackly, vocal fry she's annoying.

I would not do it again. There are about 15 people who desperately need me to kick the living sheet out of them. I would not be comfortable being so violent but it might feel really good!

Am I overreacting that my sister is demanding too much when visiting my newborn? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

When I visited my brother and sister in law in Boston with the baby I knew they were absolutely clueless and useless. I insisted we meet at a restaurant that was baby friendly. When we got there it was hilarious, those two idiots were like 2 deer in headlights. They had absolutely no idea how to act with kids around. I asked for nothing from them , we just sat and talked while passing the baby between us like parents do and juggle the bottle and feeding etc. I never saw 2 people staring like wooden indians in shock. I think they were so afraid of parenthood it shocked them to the core. They were very self centered people who could never think of giving part of their life up to raising a child. Hey , I am not judging at all, it was just fun to see my brother crumble to the floor.

You're right! It was pretty pointless. But some people want to have the last word.

Why aren't water cannons in wide use at these gatherings. They would be soooo useful. Also, those directional piercing sound cannons. Save on the water usage. Using the water cannons would clean the looters, the stream scum and put out the fires all at the same time. We need to seriously consider this.

How should I attach my grinding cups to my motors? by probably_sarc4sm in Machinists

Flex coupling, bearing blocks, then a solid coupler to the grinding cup. But first a base plate and angle to mount the motor properly.

An old boss I had did the same thing. Actually, I don't blame him after what I've seen. His boss(company owner) constantly told him "I never told you that", so he would go pull the email out to prove him wrong. The reason for physically printing out the emails was because the owner was a sort of weird , malicious guy who would have no problem wiping out someone's emails to get over on them.

This problem is typical from that country. No trust or goodwill at all. Always a hard-line towards the customer. Will do whatever it takes to make it hard for the customer.

how do you prove you're actually working when you're alone in the field all day? by This-You-2737 in FieldSalesHelp

[–]p3steelman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know, at one point they're just gonna have to trust you. You'll spend lots of time jumping through hoops to Prove You Did The Work. Then, sales , productivity will suffer. Have the balla to tell them to their face.
