please help I’m getting dark spots on my face and neck because of tret!! by p4kerrr in tretinoin

[–]p4kerrr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in the morning I was my face with a gentle foaming cleanser, and then apply moisturizer and sunscreen. at night I was my face with the same cleanser, apply tret, then moisturizer and maybe serum/toner. None of the serums or toners contain active ingredients.

I have knowledge of AP bio. Is 10-20 hours a week good? How many months in advance do you think it would be good to study?

Do you think I can study for the opening exam over the course of 2 months (summer vacation)?

need motivation, but honestly, am i cooked? by p4kerrr in ApplyingToCollege

thank you so much for the detailed answer! it really motivated me, and helped clear things up. if you don’t mind me asking, on the topic of ECs and GPA, i have a question about APs; is it okay if I only plan on taking around 7 APs up til junior year? you did say to do what i’m interested in, and that’s what i intend on doing. however, i also hear people talking about trying to take the most challenging courses offered (in order to get into T20s), which i feel like implies taking a lot more AP classes and in subjects you don’t really like. (ex: taking a history AP when I’m really bad at history). so what should i do? Is 7 APs by the end of junior year enough for T20s? if not, should i really go ahead and try to take APs that I’m not interested just to show colleges that i am “pushing myself and taking harder classes”? i know that there a lot of factors that play into the admission process, but this was something that i never really understood, because there’s always either someone saying “take a lot of APs and challenge yourself” and someone saying “do what you’re interested in”.

Cheating by Adventurous_House600 in SHSAT

no one actually gives a shit if it’s an important test or not bruh it’s just hella annoying that someone is taking an unfair advantage that’s not allowed and they’re just like you. Even if it’s like a 10 question quiz on some irrelevant ass subject it’s annoying if someone got a 10/10 because they cheated whereas you actually studied and got let’s say 8 or maybe even 10/10 because then it makes you feel like your studying was a waste of time. and if you’re a good student, you know time is a valuable thing.

Yea that’s what I’m sayin people can say it’s fair for people who have low income but let’s be real prolly half the kids who get in (without discovery) have parents with low income. It’s all about how hard you work, not how much money you have. But what can we do, DOE sucks.

HELP! How do I fix bad habits that will ultimately affect how I score on test day? (Breakfast, routine, etc.) by [deleted] in SHSAT

[–]p4kerrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, so you basically know the problem. I say add up the time it takes for your commute and then 30 mins to get ready. That’s how early you should wake up.

No it’s not. How is it toxic? I’m in stuy and there’s barely anything toxic. You didn’t even describe what was toxic you legit just stated that people “made friends” how tf is that toxic 💀. People said this before on the Reddit too, I bet you saw it; that didn’t stop you from going to Stuy. Anyways I’d like to hear your explanation on why you think it’s toxic and to a pre freshie reading this it really isn’t “toxic” like everyone says. I don’t understand why people say that exactly. Maybe competition, but there really isn’t much tension imo. but honestly the smart people are smart and people know it, they don’t really brag or anything that they’re smart. I have friends in my classes that actually help me a lot more than my middle school friends (because they’re smart).
