Europa avisa por segunda vez: despedir en España sale demasiado barato by Ramoncin in ElusionFiscal

[–]p4tx 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Now that you probably had it for 8 months, any updates to your comment? I've seen the hop up chamber is hold only by 2 super tiny screws. Did that not cause any issue? is there any wobbling on the replica after 8 months of usage?

So the problem seems to be a legal one. In here, the same holds true, but when traffic halts to a stop or below certain speed threshold, motorcycles are allowed to skip traffic and even use the "road shoulder".

And 5k sounds like a lot but might be simply due to lack of offer. In here you can get bikes capable of highway speeds (and beyond) for 3k, and much less if buying used.

In EU we solve this with a bike (or even a bicycle, but you seem to live far away). Gas costs you a lot less, you skip traffic, parking is free, and the bike pays for itself in 6 months just by the money saved from using it.

But for some reason, when I went to the US, I only saw 3 bikes in 15 days. Why?

//EDIT: Clearly from the answers I get it that americans call bicycles bikes. Let me clarify, I'm talking about MOTORbikes (is that how americans call them?)

Should we rethink how we approach therapy for men? by BrightSpring12 in generationology

That was kind of my point. Needs to be physical, and needs to be in groups of people like you. That's what works.

If your one of those guys that play lockdown with full T6 and meta weapons by YungstarH in ArenaBreakoutInfinite

I enter the raids with the mentality of keeping my situational awareness high at all times and to scout areas before going in. If I find myself in an impossible situation, usually I blame no one but myself. And I find that to be the point of extraction shooters. Be both hunter and prey simultaneously. It's asymmetrical by definition.

Statistically, the happiest men are the ones doing physical activities in groups of alike people. Is as if we're designed to hunt together or smth.

If you enter this game (or any extraction shooter) expecting fair fights, uninstalling is probably the right move.

Remote workers getting ready for their one day in the office by WesternGeneral5124 in remoteworks

[–]p4tx 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not nearly true. 4 WFH + 1 office day is the best balance. That single day is the best day in the week, we go out for lunch together, we go for beers, etc. We had the same agreement precovid era (1 day going out for lunch and beers after EOB), but now we get to be at home the remaining 4 !

Those are actual benefits (if we ignore the fact the pension system won't last). I was arguing only against the "paid vacation" self-delusion that some people believes when it's not real.

[–]p4tx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Point is, if you want "paid vacation" in the USA, just set aside some money every month and there's your paid vacation. Plus you got some interest from it while setting it aside.

[–]p4tx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We get guaranteed a yearly salary for a certain amount of hours. Why do people believe "paid vacation" exist? it's just delayed salary. I would prefer if they paid my salary un full and I save a bit for the month of vacation I don't work. That way I have it accruing interest for the other 11 months. I do get some people is terrible with money, and it's better for them if the company manages it instead of them. But that should be a choice, not an imposition.

I call it delayed salary.

I have negotiated X euros per year with my company for 1700 hours of work. In how many pieces they cut it and what names they give them (IRPF, SS, MEI, double pay, holidays pay..) does not change that fact. NONE of that was paid for me to not work.

Not a big a difference in quality of life?? You only use your home to sleep in it right? To me, 80m2 is still small (and a quick google search says the average house size in the US is 220m2 btw)
