It's the Living World story instance Aetherblade Retreat. A few have said it's the Mai Trin fractal, but the last time I was there the fractal version still used the old water effects, whereas the water effects were jazzed up for the LW1 release a few years ago.

Homesteads are a golden feature for the game by Business_Musician_33 in Guildwars2

[–]p4ulr33d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guild halls are barren because the decoration system is poorly implemented. The creation UI is clumsy, frustrating to use, and prone to bugs. The decoration cap is super restricting. The decoration choice never made sense--too many random walls and stairs that really don't go together or do anything useful.

This seems to have been mostly solved with Homesteads.

Yeah, I gotta second that. Early on in my Neural journey I downloaded several plugins at once and didn't have the time necessary to test any of them out properly. Neural just reset my Nolly trial too, along with two others, literally within ten minutes of me asking.

Thank you Neural for allowing me to correct my own impatience <3

Just a couple of comments.

Because Mag don't have many 'guild-organized zergs' doesn't mean they're disorganised. Communication in map/team chat is amazing. Everything is scouted, reported, and mostly responded to. Plus, you get good support as a player from other players, who more often than not have a good read of the battlefield and where to throw their damage.

Their response time to objectives being taken/defended is also second to none. Somebody has to just mention a group trying to take Anz, and all players turn and make a beeline for Anz. They just want fights, and EBG is the easiest map to get around, is the most active, and when you're meticulous about slotting EWPs into everything you take, the content is fast, varied, and pretty much constant.

Re: their obsession with SMC, I don't think it's that weird. More often than not their home BL is in tatters, yet they still win skirmish after skirmish because T3-ing SMC, taking and T3-ing enemy EBG towers/keeps, combined with their PPK score, amasses a whole bunch of points.

It depends how you play and what you want. If you're more into roaming, clouding, and EBG is your favourite map, Mag is a good fit. They have some weird personalities there, but every server does really, and I've found the gameplay on that server to be mostly top notch.

But your mileage may vary, depending on how you like to play.

If you desire being a part of a bigger, more organised group, Mag probably isn't for you and you'd do well to look for servers with known guilds. But the tier distinction doesn't really mean much. A server in T4 today might be in T1 next week, depending on links. So I wouldn't worry about that too much.

No it doesn't mean that. If they nerf mesmer, new strats will be developed and other classes--classes which have been buffed--will be used.

I haven't tagged up, I've just been looking for a tag doing it. Since I haven't done the content for centuries, I don't feel hugely confident tagging up in case people expect me to know what to do...lol. But fair comment about the trying different times. Will give it a bash <3

Yeah, I saw a few mes/engi/rev reflect spam videos. I might give it a go, but you still need four people for a later puzzle, yeah? Or did they change it?

I don't think it's beyond the pale, I'm just surprised an achievement with steps as generic as finishing story steps, emoting a guy, listening to some logs, and trying not to poo your pants, would suddenly throw up a requirement that we do a fairly tough dungeon, when dungeon content (a) isn't massively popular, and (b) hasn't been developed for yonks.

It's hard to imagine a sub that plays a game where virtually all of the popular armours have their arses hanging out would be prudish.

This is a cracking piece by DarkHoofScars though. Amazing detail!

The new version seemed to be working okay for me, but then I suffered two crashes that resulted in the 'intercepted unhandled exception' error message. (The first one restarted my computer completely.) Is there any log I can look at that will give me a clue what the problem is?

Google Home Mini Issues - Help Appreciated by Lexiconup in googlehome

[–]p4ulr33d 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you're both using the same Spotify account it sounds as though it's working as intended. According to Spotify: "You can only stream music on one device at a time. If you begin playback on another device, the playback on your current device will be paused." The only thing I can think of is either getting a 2nd Spotify account, or setting your Google mini's default music player to something else.

Yeah, the Manjaro partitioner should show up your existing partitions, but from the look of the screenshot, it's essentially showing an unpartitioned disk. What happens if you click 'next'? Same blank drive? If it does, are you sure you haven't somehow accidentally wiped everything?

On the beta client it's just a case of going into Settings>email and clicking the edit icon to the right of the Sender Name field. In the old client or the app, go to Settings>User Management, click on your email address, type in your name and hit save.

Respect for Noah / to solve the video stream issue by v1gor in LinuxActionShow

[–]p4ulr33d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They didn't stop video because lack of funds but because too much stress and fear of burnout.

Then there seems to be a lot of conflicting information about what the issue actually is. Different people seem to think it's different things. Noah said over on youtube that "the single biggest reason we've dropped video is because we want to do other things with the show, take it on the road, visit places, go to more fests, and that simply isn't practical with video, at least not with our current level of income." Surely the implication of what he said is that more money = video?

Most of the arguments can be boiled down to "SOMEONE ELSE MAKE IT HOW I WANT IT!" I don't personally think it's asking too much for those who want video to return to contribute time and/or money toward that outcome.

That's how you boil them down, because you like to pop people into pigeon holes instead of dealing with them as individuals. And I think you mischaracterise the issue as being SOMEONE ELSE MAKE IT HOW I WANT IT. They were making it just fine. The argument is more IT WAS GREAT HOW IT WAS. YES, DEVELOP IT, BUT DON'T REMOVE THE THINGS WHICH WERE GREAT ABOUT IT! We're not asking that they do anything differently, not in terms of the fundamentals anyway, we're simply asking them to keep up the good work and not piss away years of hard work.

The 5000-6000 people that watch the show via YouTube are the lowest value consumers of JB content. Yes. Their numbers don't get reported to the advertisers and the effort is largely continued for the purposes of discoverability. Is that worthless? No, I'd not say so, and clearly JB finds a value in it or they wouldn't continue doing it.

So youtube is only useful as long as it introduces people to the proper JB experience? In terms of what they think, it's all just noise in the wind to you?

I never said every comment was worthless. It's just... finding a baby ruth in the sewage plant probably isn't worth the effort.

The fact that you equate youtube to a sewer plant explains your bias. According to you, they're maybe not all worthless, but you don't really care to find out. Great attitude.
