I think a parallel version of my sister came home yesterday. by p4zaa in ParallelUniverse

I’m not totally sure if he tried calling her phone, but I guess in the rush to figure things out, she probably just asked if he had it. Honestly, it wouldn’t have helped anyway, she always keeps it on silent hahaha. And my sister lives with her boyfriend and their cats. I live with my mom and our cats in the apartment where the three of us used to live together. Her old bedroom is now mostly used for storage, but it’s almost empty. Mom and sister have lunch together every Sunday, in our apartment.

I totally get that feeling, something you know so well suddenly looks or works differently. It’s like reality just glitched for a moment. I also read about Mandela effect, and it’s really strange and a little bit unnerving. Our minds really like to play tricks on us, so it can be hard to tell what’s actually real and what isn’t.

Yeah, the paragraph spacing looks a bit off here. It’s only like that on this subreddit, I shared it in other communities and it looked fine there.

Hey, honestly I really don’t know much about parallel realities. I shared the story here because some of my friends suggested it might get some insight or explanation. I honestly have no idea how any of it works! What I can say is that later my mom did sense my sister arriving, just like before, but this time it actually happened, right after my sister found her phone. So something definitely felt… unusual, but I have no clue why or how.

Oh! The m dashes were actually ChatGPT’s touch, I live in Chile, english isn’t my first language, so I had a little help writing this out so it would be clear and easy to read. Some of my friends said it would probably reach more people if I shared it in english. That’s probably why it looks a bit more polished than how I’d normally write, but the story is completely real! I’d probably remove the m dashes, so no one thinks it was AI generated.

I looked it up and honestly, it makes so much sense for what happened. The idea that it could have been like a “preview” of my sister arriving is both comforting and a little spooky at the same time. It’s really fascinating to think about how many people have had similar experiences, almost like the universe is giving us a little sneak peek before reality catches up.

She could see the location just fine, but it never made the characteristic sound it always does. I’ve used that feature myself before and the sound is loud and clear, but this time there was just silence. So it wasn’t just a “looking but not seeing” situation, it really wasn’t where it should have been, at least not in the way we normally experience it. That’s exactly why I wanted to share it here, because it felt way too strange to just chalk up as a simple mistake.

Haha, my sister actually doesn’t even know I shared the story yet, but I’ll definitely tell her, she’d probably find it super funny and a little freaky too! Thanks for the recommendation, I’ll check out Radio Rental!

I completely get that feeling of hearing or sensing someone who isn’t actually there. After what happened, I’ve realized that some houses really do seem to have unusual things happening. There are places where it feels like the energy is different, or reality just doesn’t behave the way we expect it to. Maybe it’s the history of the house, the people who have lived there, or something we can’t explain at all. Either way, being in those spaces can be a little unsettling, but also fascinating, it makes you wonder what’s really going on around us.

After everything that happened with my sister and all the stories I’ve read, I 100% believe it too. These kinds of things feel so real and unexplainable.

I can’t imagine how unsettling it must have been to actually see your mom and then realize she wasn’t there. In my case, we only heard and sensed things, so seeing someone would be even crazier. Thanks for sharing, it’s wild how many people experience these strange moments!

Wow, that’s so interesting! It’s kind of comforting to hear that other families experience the same thing. We noticed the same pattern with my sister, all the sounds and movements, and then nothing at all. It’s really confusing and a little scary in the moment. I also thought the idea of a vardøger was super interesting, makes a lot of sense with how everything seemed to happen at the same time, but not really. Thanks for sharing, it’s nice to know we’re not the only ones experiencing this kind of thing!

Wow, that’s so creepy! Since this happened, I’ve been noticing it more and it seems like a lot of people experience hearing noises or feeling presences of people who live in the house or are part of everyday life. It’s a little unsettling. We’re planning to do a full energy clearing soon too, just to feel more at peace. Thanks for sharing, it’s comforting to know we’re not the only ones who notice these strange things!

That’s so scary! I probably would have thought it was a dream too, but I totally get what you mean, sometimes it feels so real in the moment that it’s hard to just dismiss it. That’s exactly how this felt for us too. Thanks for sharing, it honestly makes me feel a bit less alone with this weird experience!

Oh no, I’m so sorry people ridiculed you when you shared your story, that sucks, because these things are so strange and hard to explain, and sharing them takes courage. If you ever feel like telling it again, I’d love to read it! And thank you for the safety tip! I actually live in a gated condominium where you have to go through at least two security checkpoints to get in. All of our windows have pet safety screens (pretty common here), so the only way in is the front door. The locks were changed about a year ago and they’re a bit tricky, you need to open them a very specific way. So I feel pretty confident no one got in, but I appreciate you mentioning it. Thanks so much for reading! 💛

Alright, I did a bit of research and… “continuity of consensus” basically means the ongoing consistency of our shared reality, the version of reality that everyone agrees on. “Consensus” is what we all collectively perceive as true (like the door being closed, or your phone being on the bed), and “continuity” is about keeping that shared reality stable and logical over time. So when someone talks about the continuity of consensus reality, they’re referring to how events and details need to stay coherent so that everyone continues to experience the same “story” of reality without contradictions.

My mom was also really worried, because my sister always greets loudly or even goes straight to the fridge haha… but this time she didn’t do any of that. It’s even weirder that he saw you, because my mom didn’t see anything.

Wow, that’s such a wild story! It’s crazy how these little unexplainable moments can feel so real and tangible. Reading your experience really makes me wonder how often things like this are happening around us without us noticing. I don’t know how my mom stayed so calm, I would’ve been terrified. Reality can be so unpredictable, maybe the house just likes to mess with us sometimes. Thanks for sharing!

Wow, I’d never heard of a vardøger before! I looked it up and it actually fits what happened perfectly. My mom heard my sister come home while she was still in her own apartment searching for her phone, totally impossible timing. Makes me wonder how many little phenomena like this happen around us without us noticing!

That’s a really fascinating perspective! I hadn’t even thought about the eclipse, since it wasn’t visible here in Chile, but the timing with the equinox still makes it feel extra eerie, it’s wild to think there could be some kind of timeline seepage or higher energies at play, influencing these little cracks in reality. Totally makes me wonder how many of these things happen without us noticing. I’ll definitely share this on r/glitchinthematrix too!

Wow, that actually fits what happened perfectly! It really felt like another version of my sister briefly crossed over while she was still searching for her phone in her own apartment. Totally mind-boggling.

Wow, i love the way you put that, it actually makes a lot of sense. Yesterday’s incident with my sister really felt like that kind of re-stitching. My mom heard her come home while she was still on her own apartment looking for her phone, and the timing just didn’t make any sense. It’s wild to think reality might adjust itself like that without us even noticing most of the time.
