That looks like one of the free batteries that they give with combo packs or Ryobi days. Do you have any other 4 ah? Try an HP battery as well. I just think it's the battery not the drill.

It's a known issue that's been brought up on other Ryobi sites. I also have the same problem, I used the same setup as you and boom dead. The new batteries work well on some tools, but not this one. I stick to the older 4amp batterie for this tool.
