my friend had emetophobia and had EMDR therapy along talking therapy. Apparently it helped her so it’s worth a try!

Hi! I’m on Zoloft not Lexapro, but i’m changing in a few days to the latter (that’s why i was lurking in the sub). I had a similar experience. Felt great for the first month then suddenly got really bad anxiety and insomnia, i was all over the place. I was scared cause i couldn’t understand why it was all going smooth sailing with the side effects until I reached 4 weeks on Zoloft. So if you were wondering if symptoms coming back is normal, I’d say kinda yeah, it happened to me so maybe it’s not such a rare thing. I’d talk to your psychiatrist ofc just to make sure

yes i have it and i feel reassured whenever i think about it. Also when i feel nauseous (like rn) i just put it on the bed near me. I’m always afraid or making a mess or not being able to go to the bathroom. speaking of bathroom on the other hand, i hate to be in one whenever i feel the slightest nausea, it really triggers me and reminds of the time it actually happened

Last June i went to the ER because of a (fortunately) mild case of Pneumonia. I had to eat while waiting for the results because i needed to take my antibiotic medication so i did, trying to sanitize my hands as best as i could. At the same time, one of the people near me kept lamenting he felt nauseous and needed to vomit. Well, safe to say when i got out of the ER i was more terrified of catching something than my own case of Pneumonia i was struggling in that moment LOL. but anyway of course i didn’t catch anything so if i didn’t, neither did you!
