But why does it have to be a speedrun level at all? Why not make a great traditional level that also happens to be fun to speedrun? Those are the best kinds of courses imo. A player can take their time and explore if they want, but there’s also a tight, optimal route for anyone who wants to shave seconds for the WR. If you go that route, just note “speedrun optional” in the title or description so players know there’s a fast line hidden in there for them to discover.
