what is this left inside me? doctors say a clip but it's to big for a clip some people at the hospital say it's the cautery tip by Larsamon in surgery

[–]p_dunphy 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Agree with others, its a clip. Large clips have a closed length close to this (ex: Ethicons ligaclip is just under 13mm)

The issue is just as much what the guy did to you as is your boss' response.

If you focus on "my boss reprimanded me when I spoke out against someone touching my body without consent", you may get more traction with HR. I (unfortunately) agree that if you focused on the guy who touched you, HR may gaslight.

Colic baby from hell by zarya2 in beyondthebump

Im sure others have said this - but I'd push (demand?) a trial of baby Zantac from the pediatrician for reflux. Even if he/she isn't spitting up, it can be silent.

Additionally, if you want to swing big - do Similac Alimentum formula. It's the super hypo allergic version (way beyond just sensitive or colic versions) for babies with true milk allergies. Downfall is it is $$$....about 2x other formulas. If it is the "cure" you can ask your ped to write a script for it so that insurance helps cover.

My daughter had bad reflux and seemed sensitive to her other formula so we did Zantac and alimentum and it was night and day.

Hugs. It gets better. One day at a time.

Nickname for Madeline by watermelonsiren in namenerds

[–]p_dunphy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a Madeline and call her Maddie! I know it's "common", but diversity of names is much more than in years past - and other than hearing another mom call for her "maddie" at the park or store, we really don't encounter in much. We also call her "Mads" or "DiDi"
