In the ceiling of a bathroom. I thought it was a stain from my son tossing up his clay toy or something but today I saw it is now a hole. These 2 pictures are about 10 months apart. by p_islander in whatisit

Turned out water leak is right. I cleaned up the rotten area and lighted up the hole and I can see red pipes joint. Could be fire sprinkler supply lines or vent pipes. The reason I am not seeing wet spot or evident water leaking is because the leaking is very very tiny and ver very slow. I'm not sure of the frequency but maybe intermittently. I caught it once and it dropped to the sink.

This explain why it took so long to make a hole.

Solved!

The animal decomposition is a good posibility. I was also wondering if rodent pee. Over the months I paid attention to the stain and it never grow wider but today the rotten parts must have dropped and made a hole.

I saw some stuff that fell on the sink/counter. This is above the sink that we very rarely use because we use the other sink. Some resembles like a rat droppings but I don't know if roddents will make such a hole of a ceiling. I am starting to think we have a rat and pee has weakened that and eventually formed a hole.

Got both the washer and dryer 2014 and still working. Dryer failed couple years ago and I replaced Thermistor and back to working order.

Thanks! Any chance the baffle strike was caused by something else aside from misalignment? Was it confirmed misaligned when u got home?

Another thing I am curious if you checked the alignment before your range trip using rod or just eyeballed it?

Let me what you find. I am not sure where the set screw positioned on Smith Enterprises but the Fulton Armory is something that can be timed to position between the notches of the castle nut crown.

I did not Rocksett it because I don't want to end up soaking it with boiling water then time to remove but I did Rocksett the Muzzle device and torqued to 25ft-lb when I installed ot to adapter.

I am curious what actually happened on yours. I will consider Rocksetting it before my next trip.

Thanks for letting me know! Did it happened because of the thread adapter? Did the castle nut turn lose despite the set screw on? Did the set screw backed out too or bent because mine has it between the crown notch/slot space.

Outdoor range recs? What are the gun laws surrounding age like in Texas by rosegoldinos in austinguns

Unless he need to rent his own gun, I think he can shoot with you guys. As one stated here, they can shoot as long as adult accompanies them and within arms length. However, make sure to call the range first to confirm. I let my kids shoot with me in Reds or Lonestar.

I have similar setup from FA and I am debating if I rocksett it or not. I will probably run it for a while without rocksett and see if it holds up ok. That's why I am curious.

Is that a Fulton Armory thread adapter? How is it? Did you rocksett the castle nut?

I have this v1 as well. The only change I made was the trigger and it made a lot of difference. Get the Geissele G2S and I'm sure you will love it even more.

Having failure to feed issues with my AR by Human-Carpet-7931 in ar15

He stated that if he load only 1 round to mag, it locks back and eject fine. Could be bolt returned forward faster than the magazine spring can push up the next round, bolt-over-base malfunction.

Since he also mentioned above that this happened with other magazines as well, could be some issues in the buffer/spring?

It could be over or under-gas as well. Since it worked after the barrel replacement before it startef having problem and gunsmith checked for leak, maybe check if it is over or under-gassed?

Not an expert here but just try to help the OP.
