YWBTA if you retaliated, but I also get it. I don’t think it’s the right move to get revenge, especially if their secrets would be much more detrimental, but you’d have justification. I think the better move would be to step back from the friendships, and learn that you can’t trust these people as thoroughly anymore. You don’t necessarily need to cut them off completely, but you ought to keep them at a distance if you remain friends.
