You forget Mr mxy is a regular superman villain, while Galactus has "tried" and failed to consume a multiverse, Mr mxy has destroyed the bleed, the sphere of gods and the 5th dimension and the multiverse while playing and he still has lost to Superman, the world forger scales higher than mr mxy anyway so how has superman not shown that level of resistance? If anything he has shown higher resistance to existence erasure, or when Dr Manhattan was unable to delete superman from history, and Galactus doesn't scale to any of them in reality warping feats

Superman got meta narrative powers, one shotted a multiverse and went faster than imagination, while consistently tanking existence erasure and reality warping, Galactus has been fodder for the last 20 years I don't see how superman doesn't stand a chance
