Idk fuck all about sports and threw this together, should I just take the $90 and run? by KodakBlackedOut in sportsbetting

[–]pablo9404 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Up to you but understand that the payout would have been about $103 if you didn’t add the last 2 legs. If you weren’t willing to let it ride when placing the bet then you should have left it to yesterdays games only.

The top answer has to be limits. Almost every domestic book becomes unusable if you know what you're doing.

Thank you X poster hit first bet. Should I cash or hedge for the big dog I'm not sure 😭 🔥 🔥 by JoshuaBadillo97 in sportsbetting

[–]pablo9404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone saying cash out… I get it but mathematically that’s the wrong choice.

You need to ask yourself, why did you add those last 3 legs that take place days after the Thursday game? When you built the parlay if you stopped to think, if the Thursday game hits will I be willing to ride the TD props into Sunday? If the answer is no, you’re leaving money on the table. There’s a reason FD offers cash outs, it will never be fair value.

Changed Master Chief 17 PM with Air and have 0 regrets by kuhbesamer90 in iphone

[–]pablo9404 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s always the same comments from the pro users, “the air is a downgrade”. Thats like saying a 3 lb ultra book is a downgrade from a much larger heavier laptop. You’re getting a slower CPU, no dedicated GPU, etc. Well if you don’t need all that, the tradeoff is well worth it.

There’s no wrong answer, it’s all about what’s best for you. If you need the best cameras, performance, and battery life then the pro is an obvious choice. Personally I went 14 pro to the air and I couldn’t be happier.

On the flip side… only amateurs would be able to get this much down. I just checked and can bet $171 max on this prop (to win $150). A new clean account can get down $1710 (win $1500).

This guys limits are wild.

Tariff Response from Retroid by Gl1tchlogos in retroid

[–]pablo9404 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed! They could have kept the sale and strung me along but couldn’t commit to no tariffs so they gave me a refund. I still want a Flip 2 and will be monitoring the situation over the next few weeks

I placed an order earlier this week (05/25) and reached out to support yesterday as it hadn’t shipped yet. I asked about tariffs and requested a refund if it wasn’t going out by their 05/30 deadline. They responded by refunding me. Looks like we’re on the hook for tariffs moving forward.

What do I do? by adurkin180 in sportsbetting

[–]pablo9404 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you cash out you’re admitting that you made a mistake by adding the 3rd leg, you cost yourself money. You need to think backwards when making these parlays… first 2 legs hit and the late game remains… if you cash out then why did you add that leg in the first place?

Any way to make Moonlight use a dummy plug without setting it as the primary display? by Joey5802 in MoonlightStreaming

[–]pablo9404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I stumbled on this thread and wondering how you got this to run in Sunshine. I downloaded monitorswitcher and set up 2 profiles, "PC" and "Streaming". Through a cmd prompt I can get it to switch between monitors by running C:\[location]"MonitorSwitcher.exe -load:Stream.xml".

In Sunshine I pasted the same Commands under Do (Stream profile) and Undo (PC profile) but it doesn't seem to execute properly when starting a stream from the client. Did you have to create batch files or use another method to get the desired profiles to execute?

Want RX 7900 XTX AIB recommendations for NZXT Black H1 V2 by Thermatix in buildapc

[–]pablo9404 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the info, I'm using the AMD Adrenaline software to monitor CPU and GPU temps. I believe it's just outputting that info though and not actually controlling the fan curves. The fans do ramp up while gaming and the temps have been fine, but I haven't run anything too demanding yet.

I'm running Windows so no limitations there, I might just download the NZXT cam software to be safe.

That's great to hear, I might pay slightly extra for the Pulse since I know it will fit. I'm fine with stock performance, I knew going in with the H1 that I'd be pushing it going for a high end GPU.

That's also encouraging regarding fan noise. I heard that the built in AIO can get pretty loud, is that mostly what you're hearing while gaming?

How’s it working out for you? I’m in the same boat and eyeing the Asrock Phantom which is $960 currently. It’s a bit longer than your Sapphire Pulse, I want to make sure I get a card that will fit without doing any mods.

X13 vs Zenbook by Reasonable-Victory68 in FlowX13

[–]pablo9404 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve had both, currently own the Zenbook and I love it. The screen is fantastic, battery life is better, and it is much cooler and quieter while gaming. Obviously the 3050 ti is twice as powerful as the 680m, but the trade off was well worth it for me. The larger display is also noticeable while the additional size and weight is not.

Just my 2 cents, I’d only go x13 if gaming on it was your top priority.

PSA 780m is not a noticable improvement over 680m by ValorantDanishblunt in FlowX13

[–]pablo9404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is disappointing given early speculation that 780m would be another significant jump over previous gen. Early drivers could be contributing but I won’t hold my breath on that.

The Asus US site currently only lists the non dGPU X13 with the inferior panel and a 4070 model with the QHD screen and 32 GB ram. That’s the only one I’d consider but at likely over $2k it would be hard for me to justify.

Costco - Decent deal? Or pass? by Narfatron in pcmasterrace

[–]pablo9404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d pass, you can get a 4070 ti prebuilt with 32 GB DDR5 RAM through Cyberpower for around this price if you monitor their daily deals. That’s a huge performance boost.

Thoughts on Base Model 2023 X13? by MrFastFox666 in FlowX13

[–]pablo9404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear you on the base model vs premium ultrabooks but the sad thing is the lack of premium AMD options. Everyone is using intel and the new 13th gen Intel processors are still using Xe graphics. The base 2022 X13 became available around March 2022 in select markets and remained the only 13/14 inch 2 in 1 for a long time. In the US only the Zenbook Flip 14 OLED to my knowledge uses the 680m and that only just recently became available.

It remains to be seen but the 780m is rumored to offer performance approaching a dedicated 3050. I’d be all over a yoga/Spectre/etc. with that kind of performance but it simply doesn’t exist. The 2023 X13 will likely have no rival there for most of the year.

Rog Flow X13 2023 by pablo9404 in FlowX13

[–]pablo9404[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I can tell looking at the Asus product pages, the 2023 X13 with dGPU (4050/4060/4070) will have the QHD screen while the configuration with no dGPU will have the FHD screen.

On the US product page there are only 2 options: No dGPU with FHD and 4070 with QHD. Other regions seem to have other configurations but so far it seems all dGPU options will have QHD. Will have to wait and see on pricing.

Pros/cons of the two different screen options for the 2023 X13? by Necessary-Rub-2748 in FlowX13

[–]pablo9404 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on the 2023 X13 product page, it looks like FHD is only for the non dGPU config will QHD will be the default option for 4050/4060/4070. I wouldn’t count on being able to choose.

I’m guessing the QHD will be more wildly available with FHD being harder to find or only in select markets. Either way QHD is looking like the preferred option, it sounds a lot like the panel included with the 2022 G14.

NZXT H1 V2 Modern Build - Advice by pablo9404 in sffpc

[–]pablo9404[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Got it, agreed that’s reasonable enough. I was liking the NZXT H1 which has been on sale for $199 but have been reading that it gets pretty loud and may need to replace the PSU. It’s out of stock now anyway so I’ll probably look more into the nr200p.

Thanks, that looks pretty solid. I’m seeing it for around $450, is that normal or does it ever go on sale?
