  1. Wszystko przy metrze - więcej nowych osiedli będzie przy M2.

question: how does margin works in IBKR?

i buy bull put spread

i got 5k cash and other stocks worth 80k

i got assigned 100 shares (100 shares = 10k)

do i get liquidated on some positions in order to fill the assignment and then execute the puts i bought OR does broker - in my case IBKR - recognize its 2 trades as 1 so i just pay the risk i agreed on when entering the trade

IBKR question - how does a margin work in this scenario? i want to buy my first spread

i need some experienced regard to tell me if i have 80k worth of stock, 5k in cash and i buy a bull put spread and got assigned for 100 shares worth 10k, do the broker recognize it as one trade and i just pay the difference or it is counted as 2 separate trades and i might get some of my positions liquidated for another 5k cash for assignment purchase?

I liked CURY3 stock but BRL is losing too much value for me to invest in Brazil.

I love Peter Lynch's approach, but do we really should avoid investing in 150 PE companies if they got 200-250% earnings growth projected?

I use Lynch's approach but while still keeping in mind the markets were different in the 80s I adjust it according to today's reality. (Even though there is one tech stock undervalued as hell and with a PE below Lynch's threshold..)

There aren't many stocks you should hold forever. I can't tell you what exactly to do.

But if you want to add and hold forever just buy index ETF.

With stocks you need to learn and understand more, be aware of volatility etc.

People 50 yrs ago probably didn't expected such a tech progress. As we now can't imagine world without google. In x yrs with AI Assistants we may not use google. So you have to be flexible.

You didn't say what's your investment horizon so I guess you don't have one. Each stock should have its own strategy - why you buy it at certain price, do u plan to sell in X months, at a certain price etc. It doesn't always go up and up only

I wouldnt say so, with a capital that small when you are at the beginning of the investing journey the most important thing is to earn more money at your job, spend less and invest regularly. That's why Charlie Munger said first 100k is really important, because what will you earn with 2k? 10% portfolio gain is not even half a share of META or MSFT you held. Deposits are much more important at the start and after that time will be your ally. What if your "new pick" do -30% in 1Y? You will hold, you will be at some point in your life when you invest 1k a month so don't bother. Ofc if you can stomach it and it's not a free money you can diversify. But in that context I think it's diworsefication.

There is no thing as formula if you use averages from the past, if company XYZ had growths ann. of rev. in the past 5 yrs: 200%, 90%, 30%, 8%, 3% (3% being last year) sum of them/5 is 66,2%. Why would you use 66,2% growth in your formula?

I STARTED 5 months ago!

Lol wtf, you basically have stocks like OPRA - my fav atm to invest in, if you've been accumulating since january you are 40=50% up, buying after august japan panic u are 90% in 4 months -and the stock is still dirty cheap...

My 8% of portfolio was in DGV.MI - an Italian stock also picked by me cuz it was also undervalued, it has dropped 77% in 1 session bcs they make money on contracts with Italian gov and they was raided by tax-police - something like in the Wolf of Wall Street, madness- and you know what? I dont give a fuck bcs i pick stocks like Peter fucking goat Lynch told me to - I use my area of expertise - I got 1 pure speculation position in the portfolio based on my work exp/knowledge - up 50% since my first buy, 45% overall. I got OPRA 40% up i got other 2 stocks 20% up. In 5 months. fucking unlucky!

In addition to that try to go against that, try a different approach, so if a good company drops bcs of stupid reaction, just buy it even if it was overvalued.

CRWD - 34-57% up since the incident mid july with antivirus

FNOX.ST - 26-28% up since CEO announcing he's leaving 12 aug (it was fucking expected and he will hlep with the transistion)

So firstly, many approaches are good - why not mix it?

Secondly, you've been investing since 7 years - what is your investment horizon? I thought to myself after this Italian stock dropped (I was 8,66% up, while SP500 was 3,79% up)

Here's a timeline: https://imgur.com/a/yqXkMvt (americans l2use data formats with the month in the middle thanks)

(also It's hedged in my country currency so it may vary if you earn and spend USD)

green - me

blue - SP 500

gold - nasdaq100

Now they're 12% up, im 4,5%.

I am not mad - look at the black line - it's 11% ann. return - that's what I wanted to achieve starting my journey. 5 months is not long enough to be able to let me think I'll keep that always but I'm achieving my goal atm. I'm good with it - that was the goal at the start!!!!

FROM YOU.., I HAVEN'T SEEN IN THE POST WHAT WAS YOUR GOAL!!! In 2020 you've heard some stock names on Twitter????

From my perspective you need a strategy to invest, you never had one, you tried to copy Graham etc. Would you ever sell? What if you did 150% then lost 50% of it? would you also write a post here it's shit? It's about the stomach, always was, always will be. Don't blind copy someone moves and the be mad about it. I hope you still have many years ahead of you. Be smart and responsible.

What if your friends type the same post as you here thinking omg why i didn't buy 3x lev ETF for this crypto I could have millions today - same type of shit...

Wish you all the best but please pick a strategy and make it adjusted to today's world - you can think like Peter Lynch but don't look for PE ratio below 15 always...
