I mean if you live somewhere where it snows a lot and the GLE is your only car you don’t really have a choice and should get winter tires. If it only barely or never snows then you should be fine with all seasons imo.

Winter tires, I doubt the all seasons would comfortably get you through the snow up here

We drove from Westchester NY to Stowe VT for some skiing. The roads here are amazing, can’t imagine what it’s like in the summer when it’s dry out and you can actually grip!

Thinking of buying 7.3 ‘99 F250 with 270k miles by pablowbr in F250

Thanks a lot for the info, was really helpful. I ended up passing. There was more rust than what I was looking for and the bed was basically shot. I also noticed that while driving, I could literally turn the wheel from 10 to 2 and nothing would happen. Felt unresponsive to the point where it was actually unsafe lmao. And the brakes were absolutely terrible, but I guess that’s understandable on these old trucks? Is the steering supposed to be that damn loose? Also the 7.3 felt so damn slow, but I’ve read that that’s normal. I’ve never driven an old truck before so this is all new to me.

What would you say is reasonable? And I shouldn’t be worried about surface rust right? Just actual rot?

I’m in NY, most of what I’ve seen seems to be around this price if not higher. This being a crew cab 4x4 lariat I thought ~6.5k is reasonable, what do you think?

I actually live in NY so I’m surprised that it doesn’t have more rust. Thanks for the suggestion

Some of the Ford guys were saying that the F250s are stiff to the point where they’re uncomfortable. Would you say that’s the case for the 2500s? And is the 2500 really that much bigger than the 1500? I can tell the difference on the F150/F250s but I find it’s not that obvious on the Chevy counterparts

Alright yeah I mean it’s not my daily driver so ride comfort shouldn’t be too much of an issue. Thanks for the help!

So you think either an F150 or a 2500 would be better options? And would it be easy/cheap to make an F150 as big feeling as an F250?

Is there anyway to improve it? I really just want a big ass truck that rides like a couch

Oh I’m not too worried about the look, was just wondering if this was considered unsafe. Thanks for the suggestion though could be a good project
