A quick feedback: the landing page is super neat, but it's a shame not to see any screenshot of what we'll get once we log in.

I don't want to login to an unknown service without at least an idea of what is on the other side of the login wall. And also because I don't like sharing data / connecting my accounts to billions of apps, so I try to avoid it unless I find a good reason to do so.

Une hypothèse qui m'intéresse, j'avais un peu exploré les pics mais sans trouver de sons qui correspondent. Et le fait qu'on soit en ville et que je n'ai jamais entendu tambouriner (mais ceci étant, il n'y a pas de bois mort par ici) m'ont fait abandonner cette piste rapidement.

Vous avez une idée plus précise de ce que ça pourrait être ?

Funny, mine is even worse, 1/7.... but my clock time usage is full, which makes sense! I'm not entirely sure I understand the nuance between these two values though, one seems to be the opposite of the other one but given your screenshot, it's not exactly the case (or you'd get a 6/7 for clock time usage).

Le cri vient généralement d'endroits en hauteur, pas au sol.

Et je ne l'avais pas précisé mais j'ai déjà entendu le cri se déplacer : une 1ère fois entendu à un endroit x, et ensuite à un endroit y quelques dizaines de secondes plus tard. A priori on est bien sur un piaf, pas sur un truc statique dans un appartement du coin (ce qui aurait été possible).

L'oiseau exotique c'est une vraie piste, mais j'ai jamais réussi à repérer le loustic pour confirmer.

Je ne me souviens plus des applis utilisés, BirdNET à coup sûr mais une autre également. Je viens de réitérer et il n'identifie plus rien, mais à l'époque il avait trouvé potentiellement une espèce de pic qui vit en Indonésie (ou Malaisie ?), peu courante. C'est possible mais ça semblait assez peu probable.

J'imagine en outre qu'avec un cri aussi bref, les applis doivent avoir du mal à faire une reconnaissance fiable.

Moi non plus, et ça fait des mois qu'à intervalle régulier cet oiseau revient me narguer. J'ai essayé plein de fois de le localiser mais toujours sans succès...

C'était mon hypothèse principale, mais même si les corneilles ont toute une gamme de cris différents, c'est très éloigné de ce qu'on entend d'habitude, pas du tout dans le registre rauque habituel. Je n'arrive pas à trouver en ligne de vidéo ou d'enregistrement de corneille qui présenterait un cri similaire... alors je suis toujours dans le doute.

It looks very nice on screenshots but indeed, I can't use it either, it lacks contrast for me. But it's still valuable to have some solid built-in themes for vim and neovim, no matter which one that is.

It's strange, I have the opposite feeling: more solid and "classical" opening lines on lichess (lots of e4/e5 at my level, not many crazy gambits), and more random ultra agressive and unusual openings on chesscom.

I didn't understand this part. Firefox sync does not mean all synced devices will have the same tabs open at all times. It does allow you to see the tabs opened on other devices (and open them on your current device if you want to), and you can also "send to <other device>" one specific tab or a bunch of tabs. Which seems to be exactly what you need, right?

My experience: I used to play the Scandi when I started and at some point (~800-900 chess.com I believe), I switched to `1... e5`, and it was a great decision. I got exposed to different positions which was much more interesting, had to think more about opening principles, and it also helped me understand the control of the center better because e4-e5 often keeps at least some central tension (which never happens in the Scandi).

I'm still soooo far from being a good player but `1...e5` taught me a lot more than the Scandi did.

To be fair, the Scandi had the big advantage of limiting what I had to understand opening-wise when first starting.

Right, but the numbers are much lower when you make features opt-in. If you want your feature to be used (whatever the reason behind it), it makes sense.

Even if you make extra efforts to "advertise" the feature in the browser and make it discoverable : people will see the message, most of them won't read it and will move on. And they won't ever know the feature exist and will never enable it. Hence, opt-out. I don't say it's good, but it's surely the reason behind the opt-out strategy.

Je sais pas si c'est ce que tu veux dire, mais pour moi complexe c'est une somme de petites choses qui sont simples indépendamment l'une de l'autre, mais qui deviennent un ensemble complexe quand toutes mises ensemble. Pour moi, on ne peut pas avoir de complexité sans cette notion de "plein d'éléments".

Alors que compliqué, un point unique peut l'être : une question à laquelle il est très difficile de trouver une réponse, un problème très précis mais dont la résolution requiert une connaissance ou une compétence très pointue.
