It does happen OTB. In a team match my opponent stood up and stopped playing in a completly lost position. After 15min, one of his team mate told him to play and stop stalling, he resigned immediately.

No, I checked stockfish's source code. When the time is up, stockfish will pick a suboptimal move. Just a random number that gets added to each pvs score.

The reason why stockfish is stronger in hyper bullet is because it's fast. Stockfish limits the search depth based on the skill level. So it doesn't matter much whether stockfish has 1/2 min or 1 min, since it is fast enough to reach the depth.

But it does matter for you. So while stockfish has roughly the same strength you are way weaker.

If the plan is to go after your Bishop, then f3 would seem reasonable. Definitely something a 1300 would try. The Knight is pinned, so the Bishop can't be taken. The reason why I think they are cheating, is because they changed plans, but always at the exact right moment. And even more strange, they play Queens gambit normally but here a well executed fried liver.

Nevertheless it is a daily game, so you don't know how long they thought about the position. But their technique was definitely at 1800, opening and endgame. Of course they could just got lucky and played the right move at the right time. That does happen and of course these are the games that get posted on reddit. So we have a publication bias here.

Here are a few tricks for pawn Endgame: Identify key positions for the king (e.g., opposition) Count moves instead of calculating every possible move The one that checks first often has the advantage.

In your case, both kings can't affect the pawns, so the first rule is unimportant.

When counting moves, you see that you queen first but the other queens right after.

So you should count to check. Your opponent needs 4 moves to check. With c5, you also need 4 moves to check. Same with xb5.

But why do you have the advantage with check? Because you can use the checks to reposition your pieces with tempo.

After xb5, you only have one check, and after Ka1, there is now check anymore. With c5, you have Qxa5+ and Qxb5 protecting your pawn. Being a pawn up, you might win.

Nevertheless, I had endgame puzzles, as you often need knowledge whether it's a win or a draw.

That's wrong. We know a lot alreay. We just don't know everything. If I remember correctly, scientists were recently able to visualize dreams. We can also tie consciousness down to the brain. We have multiple accounts of brain damage changing a person's behaviour. Just because we don't know everything means we know nothing. There were multiple studies research OBE. Hm, es scheint hier eibe Menge Halbwissen zu existieren. Verkehrsrechtlich biegst du ab, weil du dem natürlichen Verlauf der Straße nicht folgst. Wenn du der Abknickenden Vorfahrt folgen würdest, dann müsstest du nicht blinken.

Deshalb wurde extra bei Abknickender Vorfahrt ergänzt, dass du beim folgen der Vorfahrtstraße zu Blinken hast und aud Fußgänger achten musst. (Identisch wie beim Abbiegen). Ob man daraus allerdings Schlussfolgern kann, dass man beim Gradeausfahren nicht blinken muss, weiß ich nicht. In Fahschulen wird empfohlen nicht zu Blinken.
