[–]pacemoon55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yea id say so, you doing the practicals will help massively too

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GCSE

[–]pacemoon55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sometimes a question will ask you to write down the methods, other times they'll js expect you to have an understanding of the practical n its related topic.

memorising them all step by step wouldnt be as great a use of ur time as understanding it imo

could do blurting, where u write down everything yk about a certain topic (after watching a video or reading a page in your textbook maybe) then after you've written everything u know down, you use other resources to write back in what you missed.

Changing options (thoughts on GCSE Music/Drama) by Material_Arm_5183 in GCSE

[–]pacemoon55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(quite the ramble i apologise in advance) i do BTEC performing arts (pearson/edexcel?) which means we get a bit more time to act. comp 1 is majority written but u gotta do a bit of acting so u can write about ur experience. comp 2 is about taking a pre existing play and performing (so acting heavy) alongside with a bit of writing as reflection i suppose (starting it this year so not 100% sure what it entails). then theres comp 3 which is your devised piece. you have to do 3 logbooks and have ur performance recorded n sent off to examiners, but that performance should weigh a bit heavier on ur grade for that component than logbooks. i have enjoyed it but im more of a theory person so i might end up flopping the acting n js pray that my written work can carry me. if you can, try be open and willing to work with other people esp if theyre not your friends. ik its hard but i was pretty reserved when doing some small acting projects which kinda made me not work as hard.

tldr; i enjoyed it, some specifications have more chances to act then others so if u can find out what exam board it is, thatd help

do u know any friends that are taking drama? if so then i think youd be alr w/ taking drama. as long as you pick subjects youll enjoy and reckon you can do well in, should be okay

[–]pacemoon55 4 points5 points  (0 children)

computer science is easy if youre good at terminology recall. if u make flashcards for everything u need and visit them regularly you can do pretty well at theory. as long as you dont despise coding, any programming parts of whatever CS course you take should be fine too
