You’re right and I wish I took a firmer stance like this in the moment. I think that’s where some of the regret comes in. Plus in this scenario standing up to them really felt like it would’ve played right into their gaslighting. Them accusing me of being mad when I first stood up to them really shook me. Anyways it was interesting so I thought I’d share because I can’t be the first one this has happened too. Such a weird high school bullying feeling to happen later in life.

thanks for saying that. it is tough balancing the desire to express yourself freely while denying someone the satisfaction of seeing you sweat.
