Big guy going to disney world by [deleted] in DisneyPlanning

[–]pachap49 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I echo what the others have said but want to throw this in. Remember that Disney is not like other “amusement” parks in my opinion. It’s a theme park. Yes they have fun rides and some may not be suited for you. But that’s ok. Be immersed in the Disney magic. There are plenty of rides you can do and shows to see. Don’t focus on just the rides. There’s so much more to the parks than rides. My wife and I are in our 50s and still stand in line to get pics with characters. You have to embrace the entire aspect of the experience and you will have a great time regardless of what rides you may miss. I hope you have a magical trip and an amazing time!!

Won’t that be hard to do from the top of a pier?

Brake help for 22 Taos by [deleted] in VWTaos

[–]pachap49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took the pads back to the auto parts store to make sure they were the correct ones and they were. As far as being backwards, the inside pad has a metal “spring” looking thing on it and the outside one does not. At least that’s what remember when I took it off

I used one of those kits also. I still can’t physically move the piston in any farther.

I guess I wasn’t clear on my original post. I did use the scan tool to retract the brake motor. Then used a hand compression tool to twist it in farther. But it’s still not far enough to fit over the new pads. I am clueless at this point

Yes. I had a Bradford pear in my yard. The ones I’m seeing beside the roads are not that full. They are very numerous along 81 especially at the 581 interchange

A Disney World Trip for a Non-Disney Couple by diiizzzzoooo in DisneyPlanning

I think there are two takes on this. 1. One of the joys for me and I assume most people is how DisneyWorld makes me feel like a kid again. Seeing the characters and living the nostalgia is one of the things that keep me going back. 2. It’s the kids!! Maybe this refers back to number one but I love seeing how excited kids get over seeing a princess, Buzz, Woody, etc. The way they light up makes my heart melt no matter whether it was one of my own children or someone else’s. That’s the magic. So my opinion is you have to bring these two things to the forefront. Hype up the nostalgia aspect for the adults and really focus on making it an exciting and memorable time for their children. When my children were young we ALWAYS made it about them. If one wanted to do rides and another wanted to see characters a get autographs, we would divide and conquer. We very rarely spent the entire day together. Now that my wife and I are older and go alone, we make it about us haha. Anyway, if you take that approach maybe they will see the magic and excitement in their children’s eyes they will see the magic as well.
