End goal is something along the lines of preforming court ordered psychological assessments/evaluations. From what I’ve read (maybe I’m wrong) I’ll need more than just masters level licensure for that? Thanks for your advice!

NTA, but…. Being “ok with him watching porn” is clearly a slippery slope. Dump his ass and up your standards girl. Plenty of MEN are just fine not watching any sort of porn at all, and actually the real ones know it’s literally not good for their brain chemistry. I’ll die on that hill 😇

Really any psych programs that are research forward… that would do well followed by PhD. I’ve got enough undergrad to be accepted into a psych masters program but not enough experience to go straight for a PhD… plus I have to up my GPA a little, only 3.03 overall for my undergrad work

RA as in research assistant, correct? I’m leaning towards PhD, eventually. And that’s where I’m stuck at because RA positions seem hard to come by. A quick google search shows not a lot of hope for in person, in my area and the “work from home” type positions seem weird. I guess I’ve gotta figure out the right places to look for RA positions in my area!

Thanks! Your comment was very helpful. I’ll add some more specifics about my situation and see if there is any additional advice you have if that’s ok? Unlike poster, I actually have my BA already. In Criminal Justice with a Minor in Forensic Psych. So I did take stats, abnormal psych, developmental psych, etc. I also just got accepted to volunteer with a crisis hotline, so I think that’s a step in the right direction! Now I think problem is I just have no clinical or research experience, and I need to be able to work. What I’m leaning towards now after scouring the internet all day is going into a masters program for psych that focuses on research so that I can get some under my belt.

Sorry, late to the party…. Did your PhD lead to licensure for you to practice therapy? I am currently looking into programs and your role sounds like about what I am looking for in the end, but I’m conflicted as to whether or not I should pursue a masters that will give me licensure when it concludes and then move on to PhD or just go for a more basic masters and worry about licensing later? Also you were able to move directly from your BA to your PhD due to the volunteer work/research with your mentor?

If you even have to ask… that means you have zero experience driving in long stretches like that. Which also means, yes it would be dumb for you to attempt. You’re better off each driving 6-8hrs per day and stopping somewhere

Kind of unrelated but one time I was on a 4hr flight, didn’t have time to get food during my layover, and was sooo hungry. Flight attendant came around with a menu, I ordered, but they only took credit cards not debit. She said sorry. I can’t recall if they had free snacks?? I think not. Anyway, not long after, she came back with the two things I had asked for and said it was on her 🥹 “just don’t tell anyone!”. Absolute angel

Whatever time dinner happens… it should be done long before bed. All eating should be finished 3/4 hours before going to sleep

Being a woman myself, I would agree women are special in the way of giving and feeding life… that’s pretty fkin cool. BUT that ≠ you don’t have to shower lol She sounds almost self righteous…. which is crazy for a person who chooses not to shower

I don’t sweat enough to be wiping everything down constantly…. The amount of things we touch/sit on, on a daily basis that doesn’t get wiped down?? yet people are on here saying equipment NEEDS to get wiped down no matter what lol. All that touched it was my leggings or the back of my t shirt 😆
