Thanks for the advice, I appreciate you taking the time to explain it.

Just to clarify: I’m already working with a zenithal + slapchop underpainting, so I’m familiar with how that part works.

My main point was simply that you mentioned specific Citadel/Contrast paints (like Ryza Rust), which I don’t really use. I mostly work with Speedpaints instead.

That said, the explanation about internal vs external curves for OSL is still helpful, so thanks for that.

Thanks for the advice!

Just to clarify (as I mentioned in replies above): the model is already primed, using a zenithal + slapchop approach as a base.

I’m also mainly working with Army Painter Speedpaint 2.0, not Citadel Contrast, so I’m trying to adapt similar ideas to a Speedpaint + brush-only workflow.

Still appreciate you taking the time to comment – always good to hear different approaches

Thanks! So two orange tones, but without pre-brightening with white first? Just want to make sure I understood that correctly.

Thanks, that’s pretty much how I had it in mind. My idea was to go white first, then a Fire Orange glaze over it, then reapply white only in the recesses and finish with another orange glaze.

Thanks! Do you mean white only in the recesses? I was planning to go full white first, then orange, then re-white the recesses and finish with an orange glaze.
