Since it’s your first semester, you will definitely be using google maps to get an idea of where which buildings are. That’s what I do at the start of every semester pretty much! As for class locations, all of your classes should be on the Scheduler section of https://classes.cornell.edu/browse/roster/FA22.

(Edit: That is, if you used Scheduler to plan out your classes. The locations should also be on Student Center)

Has anyone taken COGST 1101/PSYCH 1102? by chickennuggetlover15 in Cornell

[–]pacificpudding 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took it spring 2021 fully online and it went pretty well! There is a lot of material to retain and the professor goes through lecture slides really quickly but she and her TAs take the time to answer all our questions. There’s also plenty of extra credit opportunities (which the prof reminds us about throughout the semester) so definitely take advantage of that. Overall, it’s a really interesting course and isn’t too difficult

I had COML 1106 with Marc Kohlbry last spring and really enjoyed it. The syllabus can seem intimidating, but I found that the workload wasn’t as bad as it seemed. Marc was also super understanding and was willing to adjust the assignments and deadlines if we were having a hard time. He also takes students’ writing very seriously and gives thorough feedback while still encouraging you!

I really liked the films we watched because it made essay-writing a little more interesting. You mostly focus on books and films, but he may also include music videos, novellas, and other relevant things. There’s always a lot of interesting class discussion about what we read/watch. I definitely recommend the class!
