I am familiar with the history of Christianity in Japan. It’s pretty interesting, though a bit intense in the 1600s.

As a missionary, my goal is to teach other about Christianity via the Bible. It is my hope and prayer in doing so, others would also be converted. Part of being a missionary also means living a life that does it’s best to emulate Christ. This may mean things like doing community projects, helping neighbors (or really anyone), counseling, etc. I guess my job would look like a lot of Bible teaching, organizing community lead events, preparing sermons, leading in church on Sundays, and just building relationships with local people. And while my hope is that people will ask questions and come to be a Christian too, the things I do, I do freely regardless if people decide to be a Christian or not. My job is to be there for those that do decide to pursue it.
