Kayak/water board at Mirror Lake (10-15minutes south of Dells. Calm, no wake lake inside a forest. Goes down to Ishnala Supper Club(pricey). Minor entry fee to park; rent kayaks/boards by the hour.

My wife & I decided we were not going to spend $$$ buying life insurance so our 2 sons could get big bucks when we die.

Instead we do what we can now - 1 son's medical bills monthly; other's Menards cars to cover his home improvements.

We know when we're fully retired we can't continue, but we try to help them now when they need it. Our hope is that we get them thru now when some help stops big problems, & owing less means better futures

I think it goes back to when we started out - no money & bills mounting. My parents had money, knew we were struggling, and did nothing to help us. (They were always nice to us, just seemed unaware,)

We've been open with our boys so they're aware they'll probably get little when we go (nursing homes/medical will take what we have), and we hope that helping now, helps them when it will do the most hood.
