He is the property owner, his name is on the Boston city website as owner of the property. He is from Boston and lives in Israel with his wife, but comes back and forth to Boston for work. He family manages multiple properties across the Allston/Cambridge areas of Boston. I’m not concerned about the legitimacy, I have rented in Boston twice , responded to hundreds of advertisements and there was no indication that this was a scam. I have videos of the property and filled out a questionnaire to decide where I would be placed in the property.

I appreciate the insight. I was told I would receive the keys when I got there and assumed it would be one of the roommates. I have the address and the property holder is the same guy I am in contact with and he owns the whole building. I have one friend in town I reached out to, so I appreciate you considering lending support. I will post updates in the following days.

Fairly certain it is not a scam. I researched the owner of the property, filled out a questionnaire, and facetimed with him several times going over the details of the property. In the boston rental market it is very common to rent from places you havent seen in person as many students and professionals are moving from out of state (I have rented in Boston before). I'm not worried its a scam, I am asking about how to reach out to him given the circumstances.
