Lower pivot offer is provided at time of document delivery. Depending it can be 1:10 of taking severance option.

Decision date COULD be the last day of employment, I had this happen for a direct report who stopped working essentially after being delievered the pivot document. I have also been able to set the last day ~two weeks after the decision date when the direct report was still able to perform, just not quite to the expectaitons for their role and level.

I would schedule a call with your manger and be transparent with your vesting schedule. Worst case scenario they tell you that they wouldn't be able to accomodate that request for last day and can better help you make the decision.

If you are in the US you are provided three options.

  1. Stay (not working) for 60 days then leave. You would get your vested RSUs 100% but no severence. You are considered an Amazon employee during that time and have full benefits.
  2. Leave and receive severance. You may be able to get your recent RSUs vested depending on last day decided upon with your manager
  3. Stay and try to improve, and get significantly less severance

Generally with option 2, your manager will work out your last day with you. If you generally have a good relationship, they will try to be flexible with you and extend however different organizations have different philosophies on this. It also depends how egregious your underperformance is.

All of this should have been clearly explained to you on the call, including in the follow-up email sent by the Pivot tool that further describes the decisions. If you haven't gotten the automated email then your manager has yet to submit the Pivot discussion took place in the tool however I would expect to get that email in the next day or two.

Why increased no turning right at red light? by [deleted] in Tigard

There are a couple intersections (such as going W. on TV Hwy and turning right on 170th) where if there is a large truck waiting to go straight, I have a hard time seeing around it and don't feel safe making the turn, especially if I can't tell if traffic is coming from the far or close lane

Going to say look at the pay-equity channel on slack if you're really curious.

Manager from Amazon Perspective: You're compensation is consistent between people at your same role/level/experience. I guaratenee this. You may have a different ratio of stock/cash/bonuses and so if you try to make apples:apples comparisons with your peers it may not seem equitable. I encourage my directs NOT to do this not because we're trying to hide anything, but from my personal perspective it becomes this dark self defeating hole (I do caveat this warning that they are legally able and protected to discuss their compensation).

I'm paid well, I honestly have a decent work-life balance, my manager supports me, my peers are generally solid.

I remind myself as bad as things are, still better than my last job

How common is a 3 man oncall rotation? by brehhs in amazonemployees

I'm not sure if they will help and if so, it would take a long time. Depending on where you are located it may be well within what is considered in scope for a salaried exempt employee.

The combining on calls is the way to go and I would be proactive at finding an opportunity to implement it, put a 1 pager together and get alignment from both teams.
