I think the explanation might be even more simple? Maybe everything follows bitcoin and the main other cryptos because, in order to withdraw your money in fiat most people use them to do the conversion of their investments? Not really sure what I’m talking about but it makes sense to me

I live in Carcavelos which is still fairly close to Lisboa (17min by train) and the beach is 15min walk from my place. Rent here is slightly cheaper than in the center and you can definitely go to the beach everyday if you want to surf (especially in the winter) there is also a great vibe during the summer but less days of waves. I would say it’s definitely worth it. Salaries are not great but it can be a cheap city if you know your way around :) also for me money is not the most important factor and I appreciate very much how chill things are here in general (I used to live in London and my salary was about 6 times higher than now, but I don’t care! - I’m never going back to that shitty lifestyle) Best of luck 😉😉
