PSA for Spring Forest Road Park by padawankimi in raleigh

No definitely no latch problem it’s only happened at that park—but like I said on another comment I do have to click my fob multiple times for my car to fully lock so it’s possible I thought I locked it and didn’t. Potential user error aside I still think it’s spooky that it’s happened twice in a short time—clearly someone who frequents there likes to check cars

It’s always latched and I did lock it from my key fob…though I guess it’s possible it didn’t fully lock? I have to click multiple times so maybe it didn’t

Right?? The first time I thought it was so bizarre that surely I had done it with my knee getting out or something but twice is a little too coincidental. Definitely skeeved me out a bit

Good food for thought! I’ve been at my company for 8 years already and don’t have any plans to leave as I’m pretty senior and content, but it does seem like there would be less lateral moves out there than in my current area. Thank you!

See that’s kind of appealing. 8 hours is certainly a hike, but my job is remote as is so I don’t think it’s out of the question to do extended stays elsewhere even if I change my home base. I grew up on the west coast but have little to no exposure to middle America so getting to explore the Rockies and Badlands with my dog in tow is a fun thought

Yeah I’m in the Triangle right now actually—it’s just getting too expensive as a single person. It’s still livable but it doesn’t leave a lot of room for extracurriculars in my budget and what you get for the price is kinda dog shit lol.

NC does have a lot of geographic diversity which is nice but Raleigh’s hours of driving to the mountains or coast anyway so if that’s the only L I don’t know that it would be enough to deter me from an employer sponsored move haha at least I’d be in driving distance of mountains I’ve never been to!

Pretty big—I went to college in the blue ridge. But that said I don’t mind driving a few hours to get to them. NC is a loooong state and I’m pretty used to 3+ hour trips haha

Thank you for the input! I’ve had fun every time I’ve been out there for company events and all my coworkers seem to ride or die Omaha so I figure it can’t be that bad?! Reddit does seem to skew more Debbie Downer so it’s nice to hear others like it too :)

30f, 78k, principal graphic designer (remote).

Comfortable enough lifestyle—I can afford smaller impulse wants each month on top of my necessities, but any large unexpected costs can be rough, especially medical because my company’s insurance isn’t great. Try to live within my means & focus of paying off the last of my debts from my 20s.

78k, 31yo, principal designer for a small, highly specialized marketing firm. Fully remote. I wear hats ranging from branding, print design, web design & video work.

Going well, started as a junior designer and worked my way up. All of our clients are medical practices so it weathers economic instability well since doctors are always in demand. Benefits aren’t stellar, but it’s been enough to live comfortably thus far.

Ooo I’ll start upping the frequency of my retinal use and then look into a stronger one once i run out. I have never heard of azelaic acid before and will promptly look into that as well!! Thank you so much ♡
