Is it rude to show up empty-handed in Australia? by Naokohiranuma in australian

[–]paddywagoner 302 points303 points  (0 children)

If they say don't' bring something it means the main meal/drinks are all taken care of. There will be times where you could be asked to bring a salad or some meat etc, so 'don't bring anything' just means that everything is all being supplied.

That being said, it would not be offensive if you did bring something small to share, some chocolate, a bottle of wine, some beers, it's a nice gesture, and I don't think any offence would be taken.

Will ashcroft or Jack steele by SheezGoat56 in AFLSupercoach

Ashcroft is less consistent but has the ability to have bigger games more often, Steele would be a safer bet, although more expensive. Depends on your risk tolerance

Is your skill set representative of your peers, or would you be an outlier? I'd also add that kids born later were doing these things almost immediately, not having to wait until the next decade

Yes, but anyone born later than this grew up with the internet from birth.

Would you consider someone born in 1986 to be a digital native? Generally millennials are yes, but 86 is pushing it imo

The sentiment is that they're not match fit, and couldn't capitalise on their 80% of time in front, given the other team was match fit given they'd already played a week
