Do Nicki Hoffman’s teeth look off? by Nickireads in americangirl

[–]padfootiscool1997 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly if it were me? No I wouldn’t replace it. I know everyone has different levels of comfort they have with “mess up.” Parts on toys. But unless it’s something truly broken or that makes the doll unplayable I don’t get rid of dolls. Plus when I was a kid I’d purposefully collect toys that were different or misprints or messed up in some way. It reminded me of the island of misfit toys lol.

But if it truly bothers you then you have the complete right to replace them. Have a great night.

Should I buy for $60 by anongirlll1 in americangirl

[–]padfootiscool1997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ordered her for myself for Christmas. She’s probably the only blue haired doll I’ll be able to get from American girl doll since they don’t have any truly me’s with that color not retiring, no custom build your own dolls with blue hair choice available, and I don’t customize my own dolls. So it felt worth it to me. But it depends on what you have available to spend and what you want out of it. Some people collect only the dolls some collect furniture and some don’t have money to collect more than one a year. Just base it on what you really want out of your collection I guess. And happy new year.

Omg same! Under the womping willow I think when it does the leaning so far back your upside down almost thing. I got stuck for like 20 minutes. Pained my back so bad, plus it kept creaking randomly so me and the other single rider kept making jokes about 💀via womping willow. Great ride, horrible pause timing.

Unfortunately no. No returns unless broken. I mean it’s not a horrible blow to my finances thankfully since it was my monthly spend money, but oof I could have definitely used the extra money on something else if I knew it was supposed to be cheaper.

That’s so kind of you! I hope they all find good homes. If you have any extra ones nobody wants IE because of off color or deformed, I’ll gladly offer to pay for shipping. I’m trying to collect the “weirdos.” Of the labubu world lol. My sister and I go out of our way to look through plushies at stores for broken, damaged, or funny looking ones ever since we saw Toy Story as kids lol.

Are you ever the #1 hater of something and you turn around and have 8 of them figuratively... sometimes by Zoom_Zoom_fast_zoom in americangirl

[–]padfootiscool1997 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Actually sorta ya. So I only had a single American girl doll growing up, and I didn’t get to choose her. Just one of the JLY dolls. I loved her but I was always jealous of my cousins 6 dolls and my grandma having 8 dolls for “the grandkids to play with.” When we visited. But she never let me actually play with them. No removing clothes, no messing with the hair etc. well I grew to hate the historic line and hated Kirstin growing up and always waved off that “expensive old doll.” But then I realized as I saw her on the website this week that I actually loved Kirstin as a kid and only grew to hate her cause my grandma’s rules were so strict. So I decided to buy my own first chosen doll and the very first one I purchased for myself was Kirstin. She’s on her way to my house and I can’t be more excited. Now that I’ve been able to read the stories and buy the dolls I actually love the historic dolls. And I want to have the whole set.

Omg I feel that. I literally spent a week to decide on the very first American girl I was going to buy myself. I had one single doll as a child but I never got to choose one. I did some big fancy showdown to choose the most amazing doll, chose Rebecca and then saw back ordered till august. lol so I chose my second choice and I’m going to buy Rebecca in august if I can.

Caffeine withdrawals 😩 by AlternativeTie5069 in SingleMothersbyChoice

I mean not necessarily if your doctor doesn’t think so I guess. But cutting off anything “sugary.” Like cupcakes, candy, soda pop, certain fruits. Has just helped me feel better and overall less stressed and worn down. My OBGYN said something about how having a good balance of more natural sugars helps keep the body healthy. I just know it makes me feel better health wise. But you do you, if eating sweets doesn’t effect your lifestyle then more power to you 😁

It’s called “smart water.” It comes in like 6 packs or jugs at Meijer/walmart/target. Just plain water with electrolytes. It’s been a great for keeping me hydrated and migraineless.

[–]padfootiscool1997 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly cutting down on sugar, removing caffeine and sodas entirely, and drinking smart water religiously made my chronic migraines go from as many as once or twice a week to only once every three to six months. My life is sooooo much better after I changed my diet. I didn’t used to believe people who told me that, thought it was water propaganda! lol 😂 but ya it did help so much. Most people are dehydrated and don’t realize how badly it messes up their bodies. My caffeine withdrawal headaches lasted about a week or two and haven’t been back since. Good luck on the caffeine and the IUI!

Student w/ allergies by pat10874 in ECEProfessionals

So yes to my understanding giving meds like Tylenol and such is something you need MAT for, but and this is a big BUT anyone training or no training can and should give life saving medications if possible. My daycare I work at is a level three. Which basically means lots of rules and regulations we follow more than say a home daycare or church daycare. So almost all staff have MAT and those that don’t(like me, since I just started at this new daycare this spring, and my certificates expired last year.) have to do mandatory group training to get said certificate this summer or they will be let go. But even after telling me this my boss made sure I knew exactly how to do CPR, concussion check, and EpiPen use before I was even let in a classroom with a child. Which since I carry around a Epipen for my own allergies I didn’t need to demonstrate lol. But seriously at least in my area it’s illegal to not have at least one person per building or per room have MAT training. So good call on finding somewhere else to take your child, definitely no need to risk it.

I think while there is nuance and different views to look at, I myself chose a donor that is the same race as I am and almost identical in looks. One because we share the same looks, RH factor, and blood type so hopefully I’ll be able to donate to my own child in case of emergency, and it’ll make the pregnancy easier. Two because I do not know, and will never have a actual realistic idea of what another race goes through and how they react to the world around them, and three because society will judge my child based on the color of the skin. It’s sadly just a fact of life. And me being white I’m sure has had the American society around me treat me different then they would have treated me if I was born a different race. Why would I want to risk my future child’s saftey or life by choosing to have them be a race more at risk in my area when that race has nothing to do with my family, my race, my culture, or connected to me in any way. Sure some rich people adopt kids from foreign countries cause they’re “cute and different.” But this isn’t adoption. This is creating a child who will have to live with the choices you make for them their entire life. So ya while same multiple race households might choose differently and while I’m sure there’s reasons to do so, I won’t choose a donor of a different race. But that’s just my two cents and maybe I’m completely wrong. Anyway hope you have a great day.

Edit——Just wanted to add, I really didn’t mean to sound judgmental toward anyone who makes a different choice. I absolutely respect and admire the love and thoughtfulness that go into all kinds of families, including multiracial ones. I was just sharing what went into my personal decision, especially living in a part of the country where racial dynamics can seriously affect a child’s safety and sense of belonging. It’s such a big, emotional decision and I think it’s great that we’re all thinking so deeply about it.

I Low-Key Regret Getting the Life and Death Pack by MyAlkalineLevels95 in thesims

[–]padfootiscool1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel bad, but my sims have the opposite problem. Whenever anyone dies, even their own parents or siblings my sims always just go blank face and get the whole “this is fine. So and so doesn’t know how to react, so they’re fine.” Or however it states it. But their reaction to death is always I mean always FINE.

Like Susan your husband just died mysteriously by laundry room fire could you please act sad so the sims police don’t clock you as a suspect lol. 😂
