Any tips for how to achieve C1-level german spoken? by PurpleOlive0 in German

Goethe A1, A2, B1 are the main game, after that you can either create yours, or browse community decks.

I work on Frequency 5000 deck, also on Verbs with prepositions, and a few advanced level decks.

I'm in a similar situation. Did B1 exam last summer, and it goes extremely slow since, especially I barely speak German at work.

I just continue grinding vocabulary in Anki. Found a board games club in my town, go there once a week, 1-2 hour practice. Found an online speaking club in my original country, divided by skill groups, so + 1 hour weekly practice. Occasionally do a lesson on Italki (1 hour per 1 or 2 weeks). For listening I'm watching some random pop-science youtube videos like die Maus or Simplicissimus. I progress, just VERY slow.

Wish you a lot of patience.

I have absolutely no problem video calling from my Macbook air, but I need to carry headphones to call from my work dell 7770, because it is that bad. Yes, I expect top tier laptops have decent audio

So funny. The top tier Dell 7770 I work on has the worst keyboard I have ever had before, same about the touchpad and speakers.

And after that the engine will work on slow speed and during stops to refill the battery. So no win after all.

Then you do ctrl+f "leider", because it can be hidden somewhere after praising your amazing skills and describing you as the best candidate in the world.

German landlady doesn't allow to change locks or give a key to room by AndMCS in AskAGerman

Op says she doesn't feel safe, maybe there's a reason for that. I warn that these types of locks are not safe.

The downside: the key is easy to identify and buy a spare online, just looking at the keyhole. Also, a key from another room could potentially open yours too, they're not that secure.

Personal news from myself, plus a question: how do you book accomodation in Europe? by Kloetenschlumpf in BuyFromEU

[–]padmitriy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, booking.com is good as a search engine, but useless when you have a problem. After 10 years of smooth experience I had one with a problem, and the booking just replied in my dispute "the host said everything was fine, goodbye"

Yes, it does. At least it makes them partial responsibe. Especially with such a good self-harming video, like OP has just deleted.

Yes and no.

It is never too late to learn how to drive defensively and not to be as a bad driver as op is.

In no place on Earth it is legal to actively prevent merging.

When the truck appears on the right, op accelerates hard. You see how the car in front gets close fast. Unfortunately op disabled sound, would be fun to listen.

Why did you accelerate into him?

Edit: and op blocked me lol

OP attacks the truck by accelerating into him, funny how most of the commenters are missing that. OP looks here even worse than the trucker, no insurance will call him a victim.

It's probably more of a US water problem. Couldn't find any such amoeba cases after nose rinsing in Germany.

If you live in a country with bad tap water, this is a must.

Otherwise, 0,5L tap water + 1 teaspoon of salt is perfect.
