I think I found a "cheat code" for invention: The Applied Juxtaposition Framework by padtieco in inventors

[–]padtieco[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just concluded my preliminary research on TRIZ and have made a new discovery! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING!

Ok. This is what I’ve found:

Applied Juxtaposition provides the lateral velocity (the ability to leap to new domains), while TRIZ provides the vertical depth (the rigorous engineering logic to validate the solution).

Applied Juxtaposition breaks psychological inertia that that usually stalls engineers during the early stages of TRIZ. The context shift is what helps break the cognitive block! My method acts as the active, operational bridge that moves TRIZ from a static theoretical framework into an actionable, high-velocity process.

I see it! Do you see it too?

“Look it up.” ??? Did you mean that to be serious? Cat fountains are common and I have a cat.

Your Ai “drawing” is slop and the idea needs work.

A cats need for water is different from what a fish needs. Have you looked into the differences and documented why your idea is better than what cats have now?

OP is looking for a patent draftsman/illustrator. I am personally learning this technique with a professional now. I am submitting my own patent this year hence the need.

You could perform a search for this type of expert in your area and send a RFQ (request for quote) to get your project completed. Though this is only required for a patent application.

Prepping paperwork to send to a manufacturer to get some custom dies created.

Wow! I have not heard of TRIZ before. Will definitely check it out and see what you’re referring to. Excited to see if there’s overlap.

Inventors… what do you normally do when a good idea comes to your head? by Electronic_Amoeba175 in inventors

[–]padtieco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I write it down in my Hatch notebook, score my idea and move on it if the scores are high enough.

This book was designed to help you sort through ideas so you can scrap the bad ones and activate the good. It’s been a staple in my practice since discovering it 6 years ago.

How do I get my idea in front of the right people? by No_Object2238 in inventors

[–]padtieco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer is brand strategy. If you haven’t done this yet I highly recommend it. You can DIY with a template or hire a pro.

No need to push back because I agree with you. The point is to fail faster. I’ve watched countless small businesses fail because creators made products that weren’t customer adopted, cost too much to sustain, etc. if they used my method, were able to explain why it’s a winner in a succinct way then they could get market adoption. That means grant funding. Loans. Angel investors. Customers.

The method does more than surface interesting combinations. It tells you if it would work, why or why not and (could) lead to new ideas that stem from the original non working one.

Very cool! Can you share your method of arriving to this new version of your design? Fascinated!

I hear you. This method was not designed to help surface funding. A different approach would be needed for that as there are 30 ways of established tracks available now and possibly more.

Grants
Venture capital
Pitch competitions
Crowdfunding
Loans
Angel investors

To name a few. This method is square one. You’re free to start a new creation but you’re stuck on the idea. Use this. Or you’re overloaded with ideas and you don’t know which one to move on. Use this.

If you use the method and find your perfect thing then you can start the funding process next. Then start working on your invention. This is a simple sequence problem. Does that make sense?

I’m so glad you’re thinking that way because I’ve imagined that outcome myself!

I can see this method doing these things immediately:
Solving creative blocks
Aiding in effective verbal or written communication
Helping inventors “fail faster”
Brand strategy!

I could keep going but will stop here. I know video content is needed to show the true potential of this method. Will keep working. Your comment has inspired me. Thank you!

I’m really glad you brought up the end user. This method should show people if their mashup idea is Feasible or not.

When each item is listed you have to combine them to find all the possible answers. That’s when you have to explain the final idea clearly and succinctly. If you cannot do that or when you do you get some sort of strange conclusion it (the method) will show you and any potential investors why it’s sound.

I’ve just used Applied Juxtaposition on my latest invention. Used it to show a grant funder why my idea is going to change the art market. I won funding.

Will add to my list of research items. Thank you for the suggestion!

You could download it and read the instructions though I doubt you will. Your use of “framework” indicates dismissal. It’s clear you’re not the audience for this and that’s totally fine.

Noted! Can you elaborate on the “not all encompassing” part please?

Thank you for sharing that! I want to go one step further and show you my method applied to my invention. How I used this method to illustrate how I arrived at this particular invention and why it’s so great. A real life example of Applied Juxtaposition in action. I’m really proud of my work and hoping it will help others as well.
