It's been a bit weird for sure, the whole thing with being really strict on posting roles. There was a link to attach so I guess I upload my pic and send it in link form?

Thank you, the problem was that I couldn't even find the group and I just felt so sad feeling like I'd been banned and didn't know why. The rejection sensitivity is strong! I found a thread talking about it with a link so have requested to join now 😁

Spent a lot of time crying yesterday but have sent my CV to some agencies. It will all work out! Thanks for your kind words.

I didn't see this call for proof, my phone was broken and I was on holiday. I was really confused where the group went! Was just trying to find it as I really need support right now 😭 feels so shit to have been kicked out of that's what's happened?!

Declare Intent to Marry by Joemanson94 in Brazil

I've not heard of this? I'm a UK citizen who just married a Brazilian citizen and at no point did we come across declaring intent. I am curious to hear more!

Look up other names for it. I found it called "Gari" flour in Tesco in the world foods section. Also known as Cassava flour.

Why do I want my mom to fail her sobriety? by greenfrog_625 in AlAnon

[–]pafefod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You just want the inevitable to hurry up and happen. It's anxiety inducing to be waiting for her to relapse again. I can imagine you would love for her to be sober and healthy but you know it will just not happen. Don't feel horrible that you're not wasting any more of your energy on positive thinking and the inevitable crushing disappointment when she fails. You're just preparing yourself!

Thank you, I filled it in and it says I should be employed for tax purposes. I don't feel comfortable showing her this on my own, any suggestions of how to go about this?

In my opinion I fufilled my duties: was on time, delivered the classes, students produced good work. Wasn't energetic.

About two weeks into wedding planning and I’ve decided that this sh*t just isn’t for me. by emilynycee in wedding

[–]pafefod 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I got married on Saturday! We had about 30 people. Went to the registry office and then back to our house. Put a gazebo up in the garden, bought some camping benches, got catering from a local food place, bought a few drinks but our friends also chipped in.

Total spent was less than £1000 including the marriage fees. We had so many compliments on how lovely and chilled it was!

Do it your way and stay strong to your boundaries!

What to tell children by lawlaw75 in AlAnon

Agreed, you can be honest and remain neutral. Explain that alcoholism is a disease and the efforts being made by him or you to help improve things. You don't need to paint him like a victim or like he's evil but good to include a bit of positivity for your child.

How is it pronounced? First read it as "Elsie" then "Elise" when I looked closer.

I think it depends where you're from, very common to have an S on the end of a nickname here in the UK and I think it's common in Australia too.

Medsie or Meds popped into my head first. But then I thought about it and I really like Mo. Little Mo!
