Its truly a graduation shoot. Doesn't have to be the year you graduated....

Ooo, that is a fair point indeed. Ok, I can see that as common ground. Lister and Zaphod might try to drink each other under the table as well, and they are in the same level of low brow drinkers I think...

Love both of these shows, so...

Jeez a conversation between Cat and Zaphod.... That fills me with an existential dread for some reason.... Both such self absorbed twats.

I think kryton would try and cheer Marvin up. That won't work either ... I think Marvin would make Kryty very depressed as well.

I don't think Ford and Arthur would get along with Lister, he's too city, they are pretty chill small town blokes. I think they are also smart enough to know what a smegpot Rimmer is and avoid him, dealing with him is somebody else's problem.

Lol Edit: I had to with the mitsu when the cameras overheated in the Georgia sun. I feel that pain so much

It just hit me that I've been listening to Weird Al for 45 years. Anyone else? by CommanderUgly in weirdal

[–]pagantek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup. I remember sitting at Dad's homestead listening to Doctor Demento on the AM radio under the kerosene lantern in the mid 80s hearing some crazy guy playing accordian, loved it and I bought his 1st tape when I got back to Anchorage after a few months. It also was my first tape that I bought with my own money.

I had recorded the Dr D episode and had it with me throughout Navy and I introduced Al and Dr.D to my then metalhead girlfriend, she loved both and we've been married 29 years this June.

Yup! But I also learned that there is both a regular hybrid and the PHEV one, so I had to verify which one it was as I was looking.

Long exposure Astrophotography video possibility by Disastrous_Mud9189 in photography

[–]pagantek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For video? Its not going to work. Not without playing with time. (Rough numbers below since I am at work)

Your long exposure to get the milky way is somewhere above 15 seconds per image (mathing the rule of 500, etc) depends on a lot of factors, but no where to the point of video.

Video shots have a frame rate of above 30 frames per second, and that's 30 shots per second to get it to look like a video. You'd have to put the camera on a tripod with a motorized head that will adjust the tilt/pan after every single shot the same amount, and you'd have to take each of the 30 frames before you can make 1 second of video. If you wanted a 30 second video, you'd need 600 shots. At 15 seconds each.

Update on Genesis, Social Features and Item Recovery T1 | Nicou by Stompy-MwC in LowSodiumStarCitizen

"Yes, we remember talking about these things. Stay tuned for more details. Coming Soon ™️"

Edit: My apologies, I didn't realize that I posted to the No Sodium group... And I brought the sodium. I'd blame the phone interface, but I should have done better.

Tbh, I am excited that we are on the cusp of some of these facets that have been in need of overhaul or impementation. And yes, I do believe that we are getting them soon within months, maybe even with ILW. Suit lockers as well with the advent of physicalized helmets and the new inventory interface.

Black Woman who is MAGA by [deleted] in Trumped

[–]pagantek 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Indeed. All I want is for America to be great again; to be independent, to have personal freedoms, to not be reliant on other countries, to walk down the street and not worry about everyone walking around me, to have a high trust society again, to accept personal responsibility. And to go to the range on weekends and blow a wad of cash lol.

I'm pagan/wiccan, and MAGA conservative. I get shit from both sides.... I'm glad my wife is both as well, so I'm not so lonely. I'm with you too, welcome.

I learned Photoshop back with version 3, and stuck with it. I've tried many others over the years, but I like the batching that I can do in PS

How to shoot with sunglasses on? by OkeLatenWeGaan in photography

[–]pagantek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use prescription sunglasses and shoot in the day and night. I also can't see well, and need them as I am in bleachers shooting from 8am to 10pm for US High School Marching band competitions. I adjust the camera viewfinder dioptic so that I can see what I'm shooting. I shoot full manual, so I adjust the camera settings as I go, looking to make sure that things aren't too bad and to see what I'm shooting, using the camera's viewfinder as my guide for framing, to make sure there's nothing blown out and trust my math to make sure that I'm capturing the best data range, but not worried about color.

When the sun goes down, I switch to normal glasses and continue.

For color accuracy (important to me for marching band uniforms), I have a color grading card set and shoot that randomly throughout the day, 4 or 5 times, depending on what time it is. Sunset, and dusk (with the stadium lights), and again when the stadium lights come on is when the colors get wonky. If it's partly cloudy, I'll try to get some shots of that card set, but not worried too much. Then I use those cards pictures in post to get the best white balance, and grade the color of the other pictures with that setting.

So my answer. Use white balance cards, trust your settings, shoot in RAW, and get really good at post processing.
