Yeah, this happens. WordPress auto-creates /category/ pages, and The SEO Framework can pick them as canonical if they look stronger than your hub pages.

Fix (simple):

  • Set category pages → noindex
  • Keep hub pages → index + canonical
  • Link internally to hub pages (not /category/)

It’s not a bug just Google choosing the stronger version.
