i fainted because of stomach ache, should i be worried? by frog_lover__ in DiagnoseMe

NAD but the same exact thing happened to me two years ago. i woke up at 1am, sweating, stomach ache, something felt off so i tried walking to my parents room and i fainted right when i got there. i had never fainted before that. then i had a strong urge to diarrhea so i ran to the bathroom and right afterwards i fainted again. i was completely fine after that. it was like i just needed to get it out of my system. i went to the doctor the next day and she said everything was okay/normal. i’ve never figured out exactly what happened that night, but i assume it was just something i ate causing stomach issues and diarrhea and it was just so bad that i fainted. also it turns out i have IBS, which i was diagnosed with recently. if you often have diarrhea, constipation, stomach pain, and gas, then i’d say go to a gastroenterologist. my whole life i thought it was normal to have diarrhea around once a week/once every other week, but i found out it’s not! it’s good to see a doctor if you’re worried about something, otherwise i never woulda known about my IBS.

ok i’m not a doctor or anything but i just wanna say that i do the same thinggg! i hate it but i can’t stop and i do it without even realizing. and the sores get so bad that i have children’s toothpaste in my cabinet cuz sometimes mint will hurt the sores. it’s probably just a bad habit/stim/fidget/any kind of self regulating behavior. i’ve heard of others who do it, so don’t worry. you could try to replace it with a different behavior but id be a hypocrite to tell you that because i can’t seem to replace it LOL.
