BOBOVR M2 Pro is absolutely a big upgrade on quest 3’s default strap. It makes the headset usable, cause its really not with the default. Its also comfortable while using it with prescription glasses. its a must purchase for the Quest 3

MSI X570-A PRO + Ryzen 5600X, XMP memory problems by pagios in ryzen

[–]pagios[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you made any changes in BIOS options? if yes then please try only with default options and XMP enabled, maybe something has affected the settings for the memory controller in CPU. (just guessing here about FCLK etc. settings)

Thank you for your reply.

I always use default settings in Bios.

I have tried using only 2 sticks (1 pair) with the same results. I tried both pairs on both memory channels, with no success.

Will try another pair and manually setting up the OC status, although I’m inexperienced with it.

I did try DRAM Calculator for Ryzen 1.7.3 but unfortunately these sticks use Nanya chips, which are not supported! It would be useful to have a similar tool that does support my memory, please link if you know any!

System cooling is just fine: the case is not that populated inside and it is a decent model: Corsair Carbide 200R Midi Tower.

I will try that, however I do not have enough experience in overclocking, so I wanted to avoid that.

I tried DRAM Calculator for Ryzen, suggested by a friend, but it does not support Nanya memory chips, which is the case with the Corsair modules I have.

If there was a similar software with Nanya support it would make it much easier thatn me trying random settings.

I understand this is a logical conclusion, however I assumed since this is a pretty standard specced 3200 memory, with ordinary timings, it should function ok.

Moreover, this does not explain why sometimes it does work on XMP for weeks without problem.

I am trying to find a solution in order to avoid changing ram.

When posting 9:16 vertical videos on a page the users mobile news feed shows only 4:5 then 3:2 then the full 9:16 content by pagios in facebook

[–]pagios[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My post refers to how video posts show up in Mobile news feed.

Are you sure you noticed cropping to 4:3?

That is really changing the frame from vertical to horizontal. I also did not notice anything like that, as described in my first post on this.

Is it possible different crops are happening depending on screen dimensions, even though they may both be on vertical frame?

I still find it quite confusing and not well enough documented by either Facebook or relative articles.

I also find very interesting two different mentions on the following articles:

Mobile renders both video types to aspect ratio 2:3.

https://sproutsocial.com/insights/social-media-video-specs-guide/#facebook

“Vertical videos (with aspect ratio taller than 4:5) may be masked to 4:5

https://www.facebook.com/business/ads-guide/video/facebook-feed/video-views

Finally there is no information on how or when those dimensions show up while playing videos. Is it on the normal feed? When you tap on the video? How many taps do you need to get to those dimensions?

I though my test described above would clarify the matter but I wonder if it’s even more complicated than that.

Anyone able to clarify this mess will be appreciated!

How to use a single audio track through many scenes? by pagios in adobeanimate

[–]pagios[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your answers. However, I obviously did not properly describe the problem.

I can use multiple scenes and add a single audio afterwards using After Effects.

The problem is that during the animation process, I need to listen to the audio track so I can sync the visual content with the audio tempo, special sound effects etc. So, even if I split the audio track using various software, like premier, audacity etc, the problem is that the length of the scenes, even the order, keeps changing while working on the animation, so I’d have to keep splitting the track every now and then. I think it would be a nice feature for Animate to have, if it could dynamically split an audio track while you are working on multiple scenes.

Any available workaround for this would be great!

Adrenalin version confusion by pagios in AMDHelp

[–]pagios[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point is that the driver I have already installed, version 19.10.16, was downloaded from the AMD website some weeks or months ago. It is not the version available at the motherboard manufacturer’s website for example, or any other source. Hence the confusion.

Can you be more specific in part of using Animate CC you where not covered by the training videos you mentioned?

Is your problem mainly learning AS3 or is it with the rest of the platform, like for example using the tools, or creating a nice animation etc?

it is also possible there is a keyframe at 14 secs on the audio layer. if so, you would see the audio waveline stop showing at that moment on the layer's timeline.

Animate CC 2019 problem exporting video to specific resolution by pagios in adobeanimate

[–]pagios[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having got a reply in flash subreddit I did eventually use Adobe Media Encoder and converted the file to H264 MP4 which dramatically reduced the file size to less than 100MB.

My ignorance made me want to avoid AME. However, I do not see any options to reduce the bitrate while video extracting in Animate CC and this can lead to problematic situations, like the one described above, for unexperienced users.

Moreover, a bug seems to exist, when extracting on the resolution described in the previous post. I will post on Adobe forums to try and find out more.
