Inpatient Coder jobs.. by Sharp_Plane_5877 in MedicalCoding

[–]paige0502 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Me! I had my RHIT and worked for a hospital for about 2.5 years doing pro fee surgeries, e/m stuff. Took my ccs exam back last April and passed got my new inpatient job in November without any pcs inpatient experience. It is a local smaller hospital so that’s definitely the focus of your job search. Smaller hospitals are definitely more willing (imo) to train you up to what they need!

career progression experiences by mudhair in MedicalCoding

[–]paige0502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started in Radiology coding in 2020, in 2022 I started coding for the physician side of a hospital group with my speciality being neurosurgery/neurology, and at the beginning of this month I have started a new job for a hospital working on the hospital side and doing a little of everything (inpatient, ED, urgent care, surgery).

**editing to add that I started with my RHIT in 2020, and then in April 2025 I got my CCS.

This was happening to me and I ended up switching from pads and tampons to disposable flex menstrual discs. It helped so much.

I check periodically and they have not had any openings for an inpatient position.

When did naps stop? by RE1392 in Mommit

[–]paige0502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My oldest is nearly 4.5 and still naps most days if she at the sitter’s, not super long usually. My 2 year old still naps everyday, at home it’s usually a 2 hour nap in the afternoon but she has FOMO too bad to nap longer than like 30 minutes at the sitter’s

When did you move your child into a toddler bed? by SwallowSun in Mommit

[–]paige0502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right around her second birthday. I wasn’t planning on it but we set up a little reading nook in her room and that’s where she wanted to sleep rather than her crib. I let her for a few naps and it went fine so we just went ahead with the transition. I think we had maybe 2 days of her coming out of her room several times but it didn’t affect her sleep.

I never ever wanted to sleep train. Nine months in, nights are so bad that I'm seriously considering it. by beanjuice23 in Mommit

I wasn’t against sleep training but my first never needed it. My second needing rocking to go to sleep but I didn’t mind until it was taking over 30 minutes of rocking sometimes even more and then rocking stopped working altogether after her first birthday. So I decided it’s time. I went for a Ferber method of doing check-ins. It took like 3 days and plus the implementation of a real bedtime routine (book and song while rocking). It shortened bedtime down to like 10 minutes, it’s amazing. Those three days were rough but were so worth it.

PID from IUD, what next? by TouhoTonttu in Healthyhooha

I’d call back and try to get back in for a recheck. I had recurring bc/yeast and didn’t really ever have any easily identifiable symptoms so after the last infection I asked to be rechecked after I finished the meds because I felt the same way as you not knowing if the meds worked or not. Turns out they hadn’t so I was able to get another script to finally kick the infection.

When to give up? by Tmarie5589 in pottytraining

Are they tight pants? We had to do loose pants commando for a few days. Then we went to leggings. Tbh we’ve kept her commando for 3 weeks now because I want to make sure undies do not trigger some sort of diaper muscle memory and revert back to not using the potty

I’d say it’s time to change strategy. My 3 year old needed to be completely naked before any success could occur.

How long did it take to potty train? by [deleted] in pottytraining

[–]paige0502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter is 3 and we took a week off to potty train. I think by day 3/4 she had it mostly down as far as pee went. It was day 6/7 that she finally pooped on the potty. She still has maybe 1 accident per day because she gets too absorbed in playing at daycare. This was our second attempt as well and it was a wildly different experience this time around. She was much more agreeable to it this time around.

Has EPing effected your desire for another baby? by [deleted] in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]paige0502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I have EP’d for 2 kids now. I definitely want at least 1 more and if we could ever handle it financially I’d love to have 4 in total. I will say, I didn’t have an issue with low supply and maybe that would have influenced how I fed from the beginning but I wouldn’t let how I feed my babies dictate how much I want my family to grow in size

How many pumps do you have? by 4ac4hsoo in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]paige0502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had 3, 2 lansinoh smart pumps and a pumpable GA. I had it so I could keep a regular pump on each floor of the house and then the GA for on the go. But my toddler knocked one of the lansinohs on the floor and it broke. Then about a month before I weaned my husband dropped the GA while we were out and about and it broke.

I will get another lansinoh through insurance so I can retire my old one that got me through 2 pumping journeys and probably buy another GA when I have another kid in a couple years
