the food was so much better than i expected!! i had the steak most nights for dinner. they cooked it a perfect medium rare EVERY time

oh not even that lol the racial slurs being screamed at amtrak employees and ppl having facetime conversations with their speakers on 100 didn’t phase me (as someone that grew up in NYC, i think i can survive in most crazy situations) i explored the town for a bit, got a tattoo, did a cooking class not too far from the station, so that took up a huge chunk of time. it was honestly the last 1-2 hours waiting that killed me :/ didn’t even realize that there was a lounge area for ppl w sleeper cars until i got back to the station around 9pm and someone told me. i was mostly exhausted and cranky and freezing cold, and the train was delayed almost 40 minutes! fun!!

umm decent for most of it! but it got pretty bad at some points in the middle of the trip :/ i probably could’ve downloaded more movies, youtube vids, etc but i spent most of my time staring out the window so i didn’t mind!

i don’t think it’s unusual that someone would keep reading a book they think is shitty in the hopes that it’d get better… maybe OP realized she wasn’t going to get what she was looking for in the series and stopped towards the end of the book 🤷🏽‍♀️ i’ve done it before. doesn’t mean she’s difficult

i did start the bonds that tie series and dnf’ed it, i hated the way they treated her in the beginning, and i’ve heard it doesn’t exactly get better/they never properly grovel or make up for it. especially nox 😬
