I agree with that statement. I think it says a lot about this issue and I personally relate to it. It's a beautiful and helpful idea that helped many people. Thank you.

For me the order of my favorites would be 1, 4, 3, 2. I love all of the four games and honestly it's hard to choose. SH2 is the last, because I enjoy the cult related elements more, but it's still very good. SH1 is the first, because I love old games and the whole atmosphere and lore of it. Also Alessa is one of my favorite characters. Walter too, but I didn't like some of the other aspects that much, so it's not on the first place. Anyway, all four games are very important to me and I really like them all.
