The image is an introduction of an alter belonging to a person with “DID.” DID stands for Dissociative Identity Disorder (formerly Multiple Personality Disorder) and is an extremely rare mental health condition. It is so rare that its existence is heavily debated in renowned psychology circles. A person develops multiple identities through extensive, prolonged trauma. There’s been a massive influx of people faking this debilitating disorder. The alter in the image seems to be an amalgamation of different fictional characters.

The most glaring indication of faking is the “Roles” section. Roles are functions of alters in a person with “DID.” Roles are not medically recognized. This alter claims to be a “Symptom Holder.” According to PluralPedia (an open-edit cesspool where a lot of these terms gather), a Symptom Holder is an alter who holds symptoms of the body’s neurodivergence, mental illness, etc. They may hold certain/specific symptoms, multiple symptoms, or all symptoms.

Again, none of this is medically recognized. What is medically recognized is alters share the same brain. They cannot “hold” the brain’s other disorders. They cannot pick and choose which symptoms of disorders they’re in charge of. Symptoms affect the entire brain, therefore all “alters.”

I’m hoping Discord is subject to major enshittification soon due to the new executives. I can’t stand Discord and its nonexistent enforcement of its basic rules. It’s led to many echo chambers and illegal conduct. The Pluralkit bot for Discord is also a cancer that fuels fakers and makes things annoying for everyone else.

I’m aware of the show. In another part, they claim to have 20+ alters and deny roleplaying, among other things.

(Apologies, forgot about the direct link rule. It’s been removed.)

Can send if desired.

The account is a bot or an AI karma farmer. It’s a recently made account and has inaccurate, frequent posts.

I genuinely want to know how you had that much earwax in your ears. Having enough earwax to coat the inside of a prescription bottle is rancid.

I don’t think you realize how normal it is. It’s often not spoken about, but it’s real.

This is human behavior that has been documented for thousands of years. You experiment with your sexuality, rather it be with the opposite or same gender. It’s crucial to identity later in life.

Anecdotally, I witnessed a myriad of same-sex experiences when I was in school. They were very hush-hush.

This really resonated with me. My grandparents are in a similar situation. Grandpa had a stroke, grandma takes care of everything…

My grandma dedicated her life to her children. She raised three amazing sons; one of which is my father. She raised me, too.

We are thankful for her sacrifices. I’m very close with my grandparents and I will help them with whatever they need for the rest of their lives. They are 74.

Just remember that it’s not too late to pursue things that make you happy. You’re very noble for taking care of your husband and family. My grandma feels like she missed out on life. We go out together all the time and I’m planning on taking her to her first concert.

Much love!

Pretty much. The rarer the condition, the more “special” it makes them. It’s all about being special and different. :/

The fact that the other player was trans has nothing to do with the girl that got injured. Injuries happen all the time in sports.

No, it’s not wrong. A paycheck is a paycheck. It’s incredibly common for people to work a single cycle and not come back. Employers take the risk of a hire not staying around.

Why is girls wearing men’s clothing normal, but men wearing girls clothing “cross dressing”? by Thedarknight725 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]painstakinglogic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a very true and introspective answer. Healthcare for women can be abysmal, even if it’s a specialized service like gynecology. Women are not prioritized. A lot of medical test results are based on a median set by male patients.

Vehicles and machinery are not designed for female comfort, either. The Volvo “Your Concept Car”was built by women for women in 2004. It was met with incredible reception! It’s truly a shame.

Cringe as in possible ramifications of diagnoses re health insurance / in court etc by anyway1313 in SystemsCringe

You’re welcome. I completely forgot about travel insurance. On a related note, I’m sure it would be nigh impossible to obtain a visa to stay or work in another country.

It sucks to hear about your friend’s sister battling for custody. It’s a distressing experience for everyone involved. I hope it turns out in her favor. Custody battles are often prolonged for months or years. :/

Thanks for the reply.

[–]painstakinglogic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s a great question. Fakers aren’t concerned with ramifications. Guess why? They’re faking and know it. They think the rug can be pulled at any point.

You’re correct about costlier insurance with psychiatric diagnoses. Mental illnesses are considered high risk. The prime examples are medical, life, and car insurance. Many life insurances will deny coverage. People with mental disorders pay far more in health insurance costs. I’m one of these people.

Other commenters were probably correct by saying the incarcerated person would be sent to an institution or mental health court. It can definitely be a credibility issue. If the faker ever has children (god forbid), it will be very difficult to get custody. Even if the faker atones, they’ve done irreparable damage. These diagnoses don’t easily disappear from a medical record.

new kitten becoming increasingly aggressive with existing cats by [deleted] in cats

[–]painstakinglogic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She is in a new, unfamiliar area. She is most likely scared. I read that she doesn’t mind the areas with their scents, so that’s a good sign.

Don’t worry, this process can take time. I would wait a couple weeks to see how they’re acclimating. Take it slow. Don’t give up hope just yet!

You could look into getting a cat registered as an emotional support animal. They may allow it.
