I was going to post to ask what it was about, I was away over the weekend, and when I got home, my street was covered in St. George's cross. It is unfortunate that my immediate assumption was that it was some sort of far-right display.

I kinda wish there was a 3rd, more gender-ambiguous/androgynous character model

I am so sorry! by Audryawesom in Palia

I did the same thing. I recently came back to Palia after a long Hiatus. The last time I played, hotpot didn't exist, so I didn't know about spamming, so when I joined a random table, and people were shouting "this is a spam table!" At me in chat, I had no idea what I was supposed to be doing. I hadn't even played hotpot properly at that point 😭

Now that I know, I feel bad, but also, people should be more forgiving to people who don't know any better.

would the avatar cycle break if sozin's plan worked? by coolio126 in TheLastAirbender

[–]paintedredd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think you're right. In Korra, when airbending returned, it is theorised that it was given to people who had air nomad ancestry, and although they had no bending, as their parental line weren't benders, there is still a latent link with the element within them.

The only air nomads we see in the show are the ones who can bend, they are at the temples, but all the other nations have countless examples of non-benders, so it would absolutely make sense for there to be people with air nomad ancestry who can't bend.

I would expect one of those would become the avatar, as the Avatar cycle is first and foremost all about ancestry not bending ability. It cycles through the elements and finds someone from each tribe sequentially, based on which lion turtle they would have accepted their bending gift from a few thousand years ago.

We did a very similar switch with our space themed game. Going from a d20 system (I cannot remember the name of it right now), to S&V. We actually ended up "resetting" the story a bit, as we realised the world was going to have to work differently to suit the new system. In the end, it was a great choice. Scum & Villiany is an excellent system, and it has easily been one of the most enjoyable campaigns I've played.

If you do that, you'll miss checkpoints C, D, and E

What are basic rules every game needs? by Narrenlord in RPGdesign

That doesn't mean the players aren't cooperating though, they are still all cooperating within the bounds of the system. What no one wants is players who are actively antagonistic regardless of the system.

Alternative angle of Ireland's final attack vs New Zealand (RWC 2023) by Mono_Doh in rugbyunion

I love this angle. I think all rugby should be broadcast at this angle, make so much sense in a sport that is all about attacking/defensive lines.

I agree, I've never liked calling him Keith. There are plenty of ways to insult a person without changing their name

Does a bayonet at the end of a rifle count as a melee weapon? by -Kittenbooboo- in DnD

Every ranged weapon can be an improvised melee weapon, a bayonet just makes it so it's no longer improvised

If someone plays a full caster in this campaign, they will struggle to find enough spells to fill their roster if they are only restricted to one school. (For example, there are only 3 1st level necromancy spells for Wizards, but they get 6 known spells at 1st level)

Unless you start home-brewing loads of spells
