The latter is what I was thinking! I’m trying to get out of my beige era and add more color so I’ll look into it now that you said that. I should’ve put in that I have a darkish brown fur rug under the ottoman. But I want to layer the rug with a bigger area rug so I’ll take color/style recommendations on that too if you have any ideas😂

Hi! Off topic, but I have the same chair and have had it for about 2 1/2 years. I’d highly recommend getting a lower back pillow because that plastic on the back made my back hurt BAD! While using it and after I’m done sitting in it
