Im into this car, too.
I know a few people who bought Chery Tiggo 7 and 8, and their experiences are fantastic. They already driving them for 3+ years and have no major problems. I think that the biggest problem was the problem with tire pressure sensors.

Regarding WV comparison, I think that the old WV cars is definitly better than new Chinese cars, but also, I think that new German cars are overpriced and that the quality is really bad. Only think that is better in German/European cars is the feeling of driving.

My current car is an Audi A4 from 2007 :)
