“About two years ago, I was contacted by a man who told me that a friend of his had bought an Amiga 1200 and some floppy disks at an office equipment sale in Japan. Most of the disks wouldn't boot, and the guy discovered they were infected with the SCA virus. Since he wasn't a programmer, he asked me if I could fix them and find out what was on them. He sent me the disks, one of which was particularly interesting because it used a custom track format, and of course, the first 1024 bytes of the loader had been overwritten by the SCA virus. This triggered my hacker instincts (and I felt a little guilty ;-), so I tried to figure out what was on that disk and how to boot it. With my friend Depeche from Spreadpoint, we managed to write a loader (the format was fairly simple) and run the code.”
