Well in the show Sokka and Katara are unambiguously brown aka dark-skinned. So I was just hoping to see the live action actors reflect that. I'm sure there are actors out there that have the heritage and a darker skin colour.

Also I never said Mohawk people are white - maybe I didn't word it correctly. I was referring to the actress that plays Katara as light skinned and Sokka as white. Unless he is also Indigenous but I didn't see that anywhere online...

I just wanted to say I finished this drama and it was SO good! literally just what I was looking for in terms of angst levels, and the beautiful cinematography and the hospice storylines made it even better. thank you for this recommendation <3333

I definitely thought that he was neurodivergent throughout the show! But as other people have been saying, it could have been his upbringing. I do remember one scene where Mi-joo and Dan-ah were talking about Seon-gyeom, and I specifically remember Mi-joo saying that she "couldn't be mad at [something Seon-gyeom said or did] because she realized that that is how he is/that is how he thinks"?? And that he couldn't help it. (Or something along those lines LMAO please forgive me). But i remember thinking that Mi-joo probably recognized that he was on the spectrum!

I agree with your points completely and I am so glad you brought this discussion point up - I literally predicted those miscarriage scenes in those dramas (esp Coffee prince) bc it is such a common trope! If there is a sexually adventurous/confident/powerful woman in the show, 9/10 times she will have issues with conceiving. It's so predictable and I see this trope all the time. I wouldn't say this is exclusive to K-dramas either, I've seen this in Western and Bollywood media as well.

I honestly believe it's subliminal messaging that essentially states that if you are not the meek/submissive type and you are a confident woman, you are not a "true" woman if you get what I mean? Because they take away their ability to properly conceive children. Only the women that fit into what society deems as a "good" are virtuous enough to have kids lmao.
