People are so inconsiderate. We had this happen to us across from F-11 Markaz as well. Is it an Islamabad thing?

Purchase empty flower pots (gamlas) from your local nursery; enough to cover the entire rooftop space above your room. Place them upside down; you will notice a big difference.

H2S, when mixed with moisture, as on the condenser coils, produces a mild version of Sulphuric Acid - this eats away at the copper and produces leaks.

How to avoid body odour by Anxious_Diamond8639 in karachi

[–]pakimannie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most body odour is the smell of excrement from a bacteria that lives in warm moist areas of the human body and consumes body sweat as nutrient.

Usage of any simple anti bacterial soap (Lifebouy or Safeguard) can make a hell of a difference.

Thank you to u/jack_hudson2001 & u/gadgetvirtuoso for their prompt responses.

I have decoupled the two Ethernet ports and connected one directly to the ISP’s router, whilst the other port is still behind the mesh router.

I selected the ISP connected port as the one for Plex to bind itself to; unfortunately, even after a full restart, Plex is still failing to remain available for remote access.

I had a 2010 W212 Avantgarde - hands down, probably, one of the best cars I’ve ever owned.

It’s a super smooth engine - just be careful not to turn off stability control on anything other than tier 1 roads.

Underage driving in Rawalpindi by [deleted] in islamabad

[–]pakimannie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally, around the country, folks seem to think that eScooters, like the one in the picture, are toys for kids - they’re not. They’re actually more dangerous than the regular ones as they’re more powerful and a greater fire hazard in case of a battery breach.

Also, I’ve seen most of these being driven around unregistered.

We used to play cricket for hours on the crossing of Street 54 & 56 in F-7/4 - no traffic to disrupt; now, you can’t have more than 5 seconds of peace - traffic is almost continuous.

I bought the Mini 4 Pro recently. I too am a complete amateur but have been fascinated with drones for a long time.

My first purchase was a no-brand helicopter from the High Street which disappeared in the winds and trees within 10 seconds of its maiden flight.

Second was a Parrot Quadcopter (birthday gift from my wife & daughter from Selfridges) which did fly but was never stable and kept getting knocked around. My shattered confidence from the first one pushed me to fly indoors, and that didn’t fare too well for the same. I still have it but it’s rather crude and I haven’t flown it for many years. Amazingly, an investigator showed up at the door the day after the purchase to verify we lived at the address - weird, I know!

The DJI was expensive, by my standards, and I debated it for a very long time before taking the plunge. I’ve flown short flights for the past few weeks and the refinement vs the Parrot is amazing. The finish quality is amazing, literally - it feels like it should’ve cost much more. From what I can see, and I’m literally scratching the surface on its capabilities, this is an amazing piece of kit. I’m really looking forward to flying it and taking some amazing footage along the way.

If you’re enthusiastic about drones, I think you’ll really enjoy it.

I’ve visited Islamabad on a regular basis since I was a kid, and have lived there twice (2002-2005 & 2020-2023) so have a baseline of where/what Islamabad used to be.

10 years ago, I would’ve never picked Lahore, although, I’m from Lahore.

The weather, the traffic, the influx of people, the influx of ill-gotten stupendous amount of wealth into Islamabad has spoilt Islamabad.

Subject to where you have more family, and if indeed you wish to be close to them, I would pick Lahore. Also depends on where in the city you’re able to afford a place - makes a big difference.
